Ronin & Tango

Gipsy was surprised, well not really, the more she looked at this new girl who claimed to be Tacit Ronin, the more she saw the mark one in her. The slim build to her body, the white and black colored outfit. Not to mention those same orange colored eyes basically every Jaeger shared.

Except for Coyote's, who were a shining blue.

But Gipsy didn't say anything, she just stood back and watched as Coyote made what could only be described as a happy shout and ran forward to hug Tacit tightly. Although she didn't really give any physical affection back. But from the look in her eyes she was happy to be reunited with her fellow mark one.

That's when Gipsy heard some footsteps to her right and she turned to see an unfamiliar face walk up to her. But she could easily see that he was a Jaeger too. And that was because he had bright yellow eyes along with bluish grey hair mixed with some black to it.

He also looked Hispanic in appearance, which allowed for Gipsy to cross a lot of Jaegers from off the list of who this possibly could be. The list in her mind for the identity of this person, at least was Solar Prophet, Matador Fury, Tango Tasmania, and Puma Real.

The more she got a better look at him, the more she could make out who it was. But she wasn't entirely sure. But in terms of build the teenage boy looked between a mix of lean and bulky at the same time. With grey and bluish grey clothing adorning his body.

With an attire similar to that of a biker, with a jacket that was typically worn by one over top of a simple bluish grey t-shirt. Along with a pair of grey cargo pants accompanied with a pair of steel toed boots.

"Hola Gipsy." The teenage voice spoke, a Spanish accent present in his voice.

"Hi, and who are you?" Gipsy asked. Raising a brow slightly as she looked him over.

A look of hurt and disappointment crossed the boys face. Although he then spoke and revealed his identity.

"I am Puma Real, the flagship Jaeger of the mark two program." He introduced himself. Then it clicked in Gipsy's mind.

Puma Real was what was considered the early draft for both Striker Eureka and Crimson Typhoon, and that was because not only could Puma rotate his waist three hundred and sixty degrees. But also had missiles similar to the ones Striker has in his Jaeger form. He even kind of looked like Striker in a small way.

He was also one of the more famous mark two's as well. Which was probably why the guy looked like he had an ego to him. Probably carried over from his pilots when the mark two gained sentience.

To her knowledge, Puma had been destroyed by some Kaiju named Eelface- which was a very late category four. If she remembered correctly, Puma Real was one of the last Jaegers to fall outside of Gipsy's group. Which looked like a giant eel with legs. It was ugly too. But Puma went down fighting, having managed to take down the Kaiju before the pilots died from shock.

Tacit however, Gipsy couldn't remember how she died exactly. Nor did she really even bother to look into it since it was probably obvious on what got her- a category three or four that was built similarly to how Leatherback was- a hulking brute that overwhelmed the agility designed mark one.

"I see." Was all Gipsy answered with, having realized she got lost in her thoughts for a bit. "Well, welcome back in that case."

To which, Puma smiled.

"So, who else is here?" He then asked.

"Striker, Cherno, Coyote, Crimson, Sierra, and Tacit." Gipsy answered.

"Tacit Icon? That rig's still around?" Puma answered. "I thought he was scrap metal."

"Well... he kind of was." Gipsy rubbed the back of her head awkwardly.

"I beg your pardon?" Puma answered. Raising a brow in confusion.

Gipsy let out a soft sigh in response, before continuing to speak.

"From what I know, he was going to eventually be smelted for parts to fix me and whoever else was in need of repairs." She answered. "I'm just lucky he wasn't. Because he became sentient not long after that."

"Yeesh. Poor guy." Puma cringed a bit. "I hope he's alright now."

"Yeah, his pilots came back from the dead." Gipsy answered. Now turning back to Coyote and Ronin to see that they were done hugging and catching up, and were approaching them.

"I'm glad to see that you two have met each other again." Tacit said as she looked at Gipsy and then Puma.

"Yeah, we did." Gipsy answered. "But now I need to ask something; since we have both you and Tacit Icon here, how do we distinguish you two?"

It was a valid question in Gipsy's mind, since some Jaeger's shared name components it could get confusing at times. Like the case of Tango Tasmania and Coyote Tango, but even then Tango was the second part of Coyote's name. So it wasn't that hard to tell them apart. But for Tacit Icon and Tacit Ronin, it was a different story entirely.

"I guess we could just call her Tacit still, and our mark three friend could just be called 'Icon'." Puma suggested, putting a hand to his chin in thought. "Or we could call Tacit Ronin 'Ronin' or something."

"I'm fine with the former option." Tacit said with anger lacing her words as she glared at Puma.

"Fine by me." Puma answered. Not taking her glare very seriously. Especially since Puma was much taller then Tacit was.

"Anyways, we should probably introduce you guys to everyone else." Gipsy then said. Changing the topic of discussion.

To which, both Tacit and Puma nodded in agreement as Gipsy motioned for the two to follow her, with Coyote walking next to Tacit the whole time while Puma walked closer to Gipsy.

The introductions went well in Gipsy's mind. Puma seemed to fit in well with everyone else and didn't spill who he was to Jazmine- who still didn't know that Gipsy and her friends were Jaegers. His ego even beating out Striker's ten fold somehow now that Gipsy noticed it. Although she was happy Tacit was there because it meant another girl for the group.

As much as she liked being with the guys, they were a bit much at times. It wasn't that they were stronger then her or anything -aside from Cherno really-, it was just that they were- well boys. But Gipsy still fit in with them since she wasn't really much of a girl herself, but they were roughhousing a lot and seemed to never really talk about anything deep with her.

Aside from Coyote, but that was because he was very much open to discussing his emotions with people. Striker and Cherno seemed to kind of just keep things bottled up from what she could see.

But it was still refreshing to having another girl Jaeger in the group for a change. Speaking of Tacit, she had just gotten done talking with Icon. Who gave Gipsy a look that she read as 'this girl is crazy'. Meaning that Tacit had probably threatened the guy with something if he didn't agree to going by 'Icon' from now on.

Aside from that, everyone seemed to be enjoying the new additions to the group. Although Gipsy wondered if Puma could keep his mouth shut during school time. Especially since he kept boasting about his Mark two pride or whatever to his fellow Jaegers. It was a tad annoying, but still nice that Puma had self respect like that.

Although Gipsy wished he was a bit more humble, like how Cherno was. But at least he brought more life to the group.

Regardless, Gipsy was just happy everyone was enjoying themselves right now. Although one thought stirred in her mind during this time; was every Jaeger going to come back to life at some point? While it would be nice to see her fellow mark three's again in action, it would be a bit much having thirty plus Jaegers in one Shatterdome.

Even if they all could become humans.

But she didn't really dwell on that for much longer. Rather going back to enjoying the Christmas joy as Striker and Puma randomly got into a round of play wrestling near the corner of the room. With Crimson and Sierra jumping in on it too.

Gipsy couldn't resist the urge to join in either, and smiled to herself as she ran at them and jumped into the middle of the brawl. While everyone else- besides Herc and Pentecost were laughing and enjoying the free entertainment.
