Sama carries me back to our small house, Yasu still had his sword over his shoulder. The sight of Eldritch God's blood still on it was sickening remembering what he had done to my girlfriend.
I had no idea that Aka had followed us either. I was too focused on getting her back to even notice our adoptive son's presence in the background.
Butterfly squeaks when Sama picks him up. Her laugh made my heart skip a beat. I had missed that wonderful sound. I pet our ferret with her. Her baby talking to him makes his little feet wiggle.
My heart skips a beat at her laughter. Yasu shares a look with me and I flush and look away as he smirks. "I saw that." My friend says. "I don't know what you're talking about."
I say dismissively.
"If you're sure." I hated how obvious I was in love with Kintoru. But then again I didn't mind being smitten with the Witch.

The last of our suitcases had been put away and now we're relaxing on my couch. Sama's hand rubs my head, claws leaving a nice sensation behind as I sigh. Head on her arm.
Her beautiful red eyes watch me. Her head lays on top of mine as we relax. Butterfly in her lap having the best time of his life. I pet his fluffy belly. A knock at the front door, making my girlfriend glare.
"I'll get it." I tell her. Sama sighs. I get up to answer it. Opening the door a woman stands there. Why did she look so familiar?
"Hello." She speaks. I gulp. "Uh, can I help you?" Kintoru stands behind me. Her possessive grip on my waist. I swore I almost missed the disgust in the woman's eyes. Of course she hated our relationship stereotype.
"I'm here for someone." The woman finally says. "I'm sorry. But this is my grandparents' house." My heart drops when I hear her response.
"I would know. It's my parents' house."

The woman I had called mother once was here and in my life after abandoning me years ago. Sama stays by me, possessively holding me. I saw the disgust in her eyes as she sees.
"So. What are you doing here?" I finally say after the long silence. "What? Can I not see my daughter when she's older?" I scowl.
"You left me." I say bitterly. Arms crossing. Sama rubs my back comfortingly. "I had to." I scoff. "Yeah right. Dad went psycho when you left us."
"I'm sorry I didn't take you with me." My mother tries to take my hands. I pull them back before she did. "At least my girlfriend stayed for me."
"I didn't think my daughter would be into girls." My mother says disdainful. I shake my head. "It's not like you control my life." Sama grins with red lips. Making the woman uncomfortable. Good.
"Well, this is still your grandparents' house. Meaning I have access to the will." My eyes narrow. "You wouldn't." My mother scoffs. "And what would you do about it?"
Kintoru growls. "Don't threaten her." The woman swallows in fear. "You're not my mother anymore. Kintoru's been more of a mother figure than you have been."
"And I hate you. You left me as a kid. I wanted to know what I have done to not be wanted you." The tears come and I let them.
"You want the truth? I'm not your actual mom. I never was." That makes me break. "You mean to tell me that you're not my actual parent?" Kintoru hugs me, glaring with her red eyes. Making my mom flinch.
"I would've told you when you were older." I smack her hand off from my shoulders. "Save it, mother." I say with obvious disdain in my voice. I stand. "Because I actually thought you hated me and didn't come back on purpose."
"Whose my real mother?" I ask. "I'm sorry. I don't know." My eyes tremble. "Of course. Of course I wouldn't get any real answers out of you."
She looks ashamed and she deserved it honestly for all the years of lying about being my real mom.
Sama then says, "Then you don't deserve to be around her then." Her possessive grip tightens around my waist. I sniffle. "Please just go." Mom leaves the front door after glancing once more at me.
I swore I saw her eyes soften some before she leaves.
Kintoru looks at me. "Are you okay butterfly?" She asks, sounding concerned for me and how I was feeling now.
"No. Not really." I shake my head, looking down. Shoulders sagging defeatedly some.
