A day when the sun shines bright
She dreams of a life where she could take flight
Fly away and never worry
Love to live and never sorry
She sees the bridge she's seen for years
Only now she sees through tears
The sun comes up one early morning
She only thinks of the lack of mourning
She grabs her rope and wipes her face
She walks outside and doesn't stop, tear for tear and pace per pace
No one is here the air is still
There is no sound, no words to steal
She ties her rope to the bridge with care
She stands up proud so very rare
She puts on her necklace and closes her eyes
Soon she'll have her wish to fly
She spreads her arms and sees the sea
She dreams of birds and angels to be
She lifts her foot and then she flies
She sees it all the cloud and skies
She suddenly stops to take a break
As her body swings and her mother bakes
She no more
Now just mere lore
The bridge is beauty with the sun shining bright
But beneath the darkness beats the light.
