My life is full of color. The grey used to surround me, consume me almost. I was miserable. Nothing had purpose. Nothing. Why? I could not see the light in my world. I knew I would never see the light in the world. Then I met Curtis. He became my light. He became my color. The world lit up with his single smile. With every laugh, he made the burden of everything fall off my shoulders. He taught me to make the most of my life. He taught me to dance with passion, to talk with persistence, to try new things, and make new friends. We loved each other. Sometimes I still wonder about Curtis Calmeran. I wonder if we would've been together all of our life. I wonder if what we had was real and true. I know it was. It used to be. Until that afternoon of the incident. The last words were to be happy. Sadness tried to eat at my skin. It's small, razor-sharp teeth tried and tried, but the single thought of my last embrace and my possibility of slipping back into depression moved me to be who he had taught me to be. I left the old me behind. I made people call me a different name. I wanted to be a happier person. I was. I am Sammy. I'm an interesting person with an interesting life. I have spectacular friends, and I've moved on. All except for one thing. I remembered two words. In fact, I have a poster in my room to remind me. The words echo through my mind everyday. His voice saying the words motivates me. Be happy.
