"ESCAPE"

Beth examined Noah's injuries after his beating from Dawn. She lightly touched one of his bruises and immediately, Noah flinched.
"I'm fine, see," Noah said lightly flocking his the side of his forehead.
"Doesn't even hurt.".
Beth smiled at Noah, lightly shaking her head.
"Dawn needed Trivet for something. It got messed up, but the reality of it all is that she's traded too." He said.
"We're not trapped." Beth said with confidence.
Noah just glared at her with a confused look.
"I'm going with you."
Noah nodded and said, "The basement is the fastest way out, but if we make noise, we go rotters on us."
"Then we won't make noise." Beth replied.
"Dawn keeps a spare key to the elevator shaft in her office somewhere. I can keep an eye on her. Do you think you get in and take it?" Noah asked her.
"Yeah,"
...
Beth stood a distance away from Noah and she saw him give her a nod when Dawn entered the room. That's when Beth made her way to Dawn's office. She opened and closed the door quietly. She made her way to Dawn's desk and saw the body of Joan. She cut the stitches out of her arm and bleed to death. She had the last word that was carved into the floor. "SCREW YOU". Beth was sadden at the fact that she was now dead. She couldn't imagine the torture she went though, but she wasn't going to stay any longer to find out. Beth made her way to the filing cabinet that was locked. She took the ruler off of the desk and pried it open. Inside were the spear keys. She took the one to to the elevator shaft and shut the cabinet. When she made her way to the door, Gorman opened it.
"Hey there, I hope I'm not interrupting something?" He asked her.
Beth just looked at him and got worried. He saw the hunger in his eyes.
"Dawn was just asking for her key," she began but was cut off.
"Oh was she now," he said shutting the door.
"You see, I was just with Dawn, and I don't remember anything about that." He said getting closer to her.
Gorman notice that Beth was starting to panic.
"Oh no it's okay. She doesn't have to know about this and I can tell you more about that man you were with."
Beth looked at Gorman with surprise on her face.
"The man I was with, did you see him get out?" She asked him.
"Oh, I'll tell you everything that happened that night and keep this from Dawn, as long as you do one thing..." He said grabbing her waist.
"What?" She shakily asked.
Instead of a reply, he put his hand up her shirt, feeling her stomach. Beth felt his hand on her skin. It made her feel disgusted.
"I will tell you this, that man, he chased after the car you were in, but my main priority was to get you here."
Beth looked at him. Anger filled her face. She was touched Daryl tried to run after the car, but was mad about Gorman not stopping.
"We can only save one, Dawn's rules." Gorman said sniffing her hair.
Beth felt her hand go back to the jar as Gorman sniffed the back of her neck. She also noticed that Joan was reanimating as the walker's hand twitched.
"You see we picked you because, you're not a fighter." Gorman said, putting both his hands on Beth's waist.
As he said that, Beth took the jar and smashed it on his head. He fell on the ground, and right at the same moment, walker Joan bit into his neck, making him suffer. Beth quickly got down and took his gun. After that, she made her way back to Noah thinking about what had just happened.
"Beth, is everything alright?" Dawn asked her.
Beth looked at Dawn. She stared her right in the face. She had no idea what to say. She just killed a man. She had so many things going on through her head. Gorman and Joan's demise and Daryl, who actually tried to save her that night. After thinking and thinking she finally said,
"Oh, Joan's looking for you. I saw her and Gorman heading towards your office."
Beth noticed how Dawn's smile faded away.
"Thank you Beth." Dawn said in a sad tone.
Beth realized that Dawn can't control them. No matter how hard she tries, she can't. Beth and Noah made there way to the elevator shaft. That's when Beth heard Dawn and her officers screaming. Beth made her way down the elevator shaft while Noah was lowering her. She finally was able to stand on the broken top of the elevator at the bottom. Now it was Noah's turn. He made his way down. He came down calmly and slowly until a walker grabbed his arm. He screamed to the top of his lungs. All Beth could look up in horror. All of sudden, he let go of the towels that were tied together and landed on a pile of bloody corpses.
"Noah?" Beth called out.
She heard him grunting below. She jumped and grunted as she hit the corpse on the ground. She saw the patient she met the first day when she woke up at the hospital. His back was torn opened and flesh was eaten. Beth gasped. She handed Noah the flashlight as she took out her gun and asked him,
"Can you walk?"
"Yeah, I'm good." He replied.
He shine the light at a walker in the distance. Beth aimed her gun at it but an arm grabbed Noah's and pulled. Noah screamed again and Beth started to hit the walker's arm over and over and finally shot it in the head. She kept shooting walkers in the head until they reached the door. Beth ran outside and was blinded by the light. Noah was limping behind her. She then ran towards the gate but slowed down when she saw a herd of walkers. She stared at them. She turned around when she heard Noah shout, "GO!". Beth made her way through a hole in the gate and saw an undead woman on the ground, reaching towards her. Beth quickly stomped on it's head and made her way to the herd. Noah made his way through the gate, but fell on the ground. Beth fired the first bullet outside into the walker's skull. She did it again and again, but it wasn't enough. Noah made his way through the herd without having a scratch on him. Beth was worried at first, but realized that the herd of walkers were more focused on her. She kicked one in the gut and another in the leg, but they just kept on coming. She thought it was over for her until she saw an arrow in one of the walker's head. A lot of the walker's around her were dropping to ground now because of the police officers, but that arrow cam from Daryl's bow. She looked up and saw Daryl grabbing Noah through the gate and shouting her name.
"BETH!"
Beth got up and ran towards him. Daryl made his way through the chained gate and ran towards Beth. Carol took Noah and led him out of there. Carol needed him to get to safety. She knew Daryl would get Beth. Both Beth and Daryl were running more quickly towards each other. They were almost in touching distance, but that's when a police officer tackled Beth to the ground. Daryl was furious. He kicked the guy off Beth and started to pound him. Beth got to her knees and started to reach out for Daryl's arms. She was to late when she noticed that Shepherd tased Daryl. Beth screamed out no, but that's when she was once again arrested and taken to Dawn's office. She had no idea what they would do to Daryl.
...
"Who the heck do you think you are?" Dawn angrily asked Beth.
"He attacked me, just like he attacked Joan. Just like you let him. You know what's happening here and you let it, you just let it..."
"So that we make it!"
"No ones coming Dawn! NO ONES COMING! We're all gonna die because you let this happen for nothing."
Dawn looked down for a moment and Beth looked down and saw a picture of Dawn with man, presumably Handson. When Beth looked back up, Dawn hit her across the face with her gun over and over. Not once did Beth cry. When it was over, she was stitched back up by Dr. Stevens. Beth had a black eye on her right eye with new stitches on the right side of her forehead. She wondered how Daryl would react to this.
"The man that was tased," Dr. Stevens began as Beth looked up to him.
"His hair was cut and he was showered so now he looks normal."
Beth looked down. She thought of Daryl being groomed and clean.
"He's also been asking for you," Dr. Stevens said.
Beth looked back up and stared at him. Dr. Stevens was about to walk away but Beth stopped him.
"How did you know Trivet was a doctor? That's why you had me kill him right? That's why you told me the wrong meds. If there was another doctor here Dawn wouldn't need you."
Stevens turned around and looked at Beth.
"Peter was a disciple of Christ, but denied it. They would of crucified him too. Gorman maybe even would of killed me."
"Use everything you can use." Beth said to him.
With that, Dr. Stevens left the room. Beth got up and made her towards Daryl. He was still in bed. She entered the room and smiled. His hair was the same exact length that it was when she first met him back on the farm. They shaved his beard off and he was clean. He had a bruise on his right eye and cuts on his face and lip. He took one look at her and anger filled up in him.
"Beth, who did this to you?" He asked her, leaning up off the bed.
"I could ask you the same thing." She said half smiling.
"This ain't funny Beth, you've been beaten. No one should ever hit you." He said trying to get out of bed.
"Daryl, you can't get out of bed, you need to rest."
"That's bull crap, I need to keep you safe."
"Daryl, I can take care of myself. Besides, you need your rest so that we can get out of here."
Daryl looked at her. He couldn't believe that she was right in front of him. After every struggle that prevented him from getting to her, he was finally here. He got to her. Without warning, he grabbed Beth and hugged her. His head was on her chest and her hands were in his hair. She felt her shirt becoming wet from Daryl's tears.
"I've missed so bad since you were gone Beth Greene,"
His grip on her got tighter.
"I'm never letting you go again." He said into her chest.
They stayed that way for most of the night. They were both just happy to be together.
