Fast Travel

There aren't many people in the sanctuary other than the moaning torture victims, but they all stare at me.

"Listener," a dark man in red robes greets. "It's been a while."

"Nazir," An greets. "Yes it has. But I won't be staying long. We're just here to refill rations and get some rest."

"Pity," he responds. He doesn't exactly sound sincere. "If you would, while you're here-"

"I'll speak to her."

He nods. I wonder who they're talking about.

"Come back here," Babbette says. "I'll show you that potion."

"What does it do?" An asks. I follow closely.

"It can take you from any one place to another without actually having to walk. I call it the 'fast travel' potion. But it only works for places you've been before. You have to be able to envision where you want to be. You drink the potion, then you're there."

"How much do you want for it?" We duck into a room to the left. There's a bed up against the back wall, a chest, a table and some chairs. It's the girl's room. She grabs a green vial from the table.

"You can have it," she replies. "As a sort of... test. I've used it, but only for short distances. I've gone from here to Dawnstar successfully." She chuckles. "The woman that saw me materialize almost died from shock." She shrugs, "and then she screamed 'vampire' and people came out of their homes to kill me."

An takes the potions. "How many do you have?"

"That's the only one I have right now. I'd save it in case you were in the middle of something you can't fight your way out of."

"Thanks."

Babbette looks at Anada for a few moments. "Are you alright, Listener? You seem a little... ill. I have some cure potions if you've caught something."

"I'm fine."

"I'll have it," I speak up. Hey, if she's offering potions to cure disease, it'd be nice to have. What if I catch Brainrot from a drauger? Also... I think I may have contracted something from one of those wolves.

She hands me a vial of pink liquid. "Don't waste it on something stupid."
