ELEVEN;

Raven's pov

By the time paul and i went back it was 11:30 which is really late considering Sam told me to come back at 9:00 so I'm deep shit.

I enter the living room with paul behind me and I see Sam sitting on a chair looking furious as ever, he looked scary, his face red, and his hands balled into fists.

"Where the hell have you been?" He asked angrily.

"Sorry,I lost track of time" i said.

"I told you to bring her back by 9:00," he spat, his jaw clenched.

"It's not his fault! I told him that i wanted to stay longer in the water" i told him.

"I'll deal with you later" he said to paul then looked at me "do you know how late it is? You could've gotten hurt!" Sam says.

"I can look out for myself!" I say defensively, my fists clenching.

"It's still dangerous for you!" he exclaimed.

"I'm not a child and I'll do what i want!"I said my jaw tightening  and after I said that sentence I stormed out, my fists clenched, eyes burning with frustration as I slammed the door behind me, ignoring Sam's calls from behind.

i arrived at my house and saw Charlie sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Hey pops" I greet Charlie

"Hey sweetheart, i thought you were spending the night at Emily's?" Dad asked.

"Yeah umm i decided to spend time with you" I said then went to sit next to him on the couch.

"New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are playing tonight" he said with a smug smile.

"I bet the Dodgers are gonna win, like always." I returned the smug smile back.

"Yeah right, Yankees will win for sure"

"20 bucks" I smirked, a challenge in my voice.

"You're on"

The game came to a close, and as the final score flashed on the screen, I couldn't help but groan. The New York Yankees had won.

"NOOO!" I groaned dramatically, sinking into the couch, utterly defeated.

Charlie's eyes lit up with that mischievous grin I knew all too well. "YESSS! Pay up, kiddo!" He held his hand out, practically vibrating with excitement.

I rolled my eyes but couldn't suppress a grin. "It was just luck this time," I muttered, reaching for my wallet and pulling out the 20 bucks. I handed it to him reluctantly, but it was all in good fun.

Charlie chuckled, stuffing the money into his pocket with a satisfied look. "Mhm, sure, sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night."

I laughed, shaking my head. "Yeah, yeah, I'll get you next time," I teased, poking his side playfully. He'd definitely be rubbing this in my face for weeks.

Next day
No one's pov:

Raven woke up, looking at the white plain ceiling, feeling a empty, and ,unable to find the motivation to move and get up from bed, it's one of those days again ...

Her mind was filled with thoughts and memories.

Memories of Renee beating her, Bella shaming her, and Phill yelling at her. Sam's argument echoed in her mind, and her heart felt heavy.

She got up, the urge to cut weighing heavily on her mind, every part of her body screaming for relief, her chest tight but she tried to control herself, she she looked at the clock and saw that it was 5:30, she decided to get her mind off of her problems.

She went to the front porch, wearing her pajamas with her messy hair and sat on the old chair on the front porch

She starts thinking about Sam, Bella, Renée and Phill, taking a hit, all those thoughts go away and her mind finally starts to clear, the tension unwinding with every breath and after a few finishing a few cigarettes, she decided to get back in her bed and to go back to sleep

Raven's POV
I woke up, reeking of the smell of cigarettes, then I made my way to the bathroom, turning on the bathroom light, taking my toothbrush and applying toothpaste on it, then brushing and then washing my face then I went over to my closet and picked out the outfit of the day which was a casual hoodie with some shorts, I headed downstairs and dad had already left for work so I made myself coffee and sat down drinking it, admiring the trees from the window and i was lost deep in thought, when I remembered what happened with Sam and decided to head there.

Walking through the trees, I crushed the leaves beneath me as I walk and the forest was vibrant with life, the green of the trees almost overwhelming, but calming.

The earthy scent filled the air, grounding me in the moment, the air smelling earthy, The breeze felt like a gentle reminder that I could find peace, if only for a moment. I wished I could stay there forever,the forest was filled with a sense of comfort as I make my way to the pack house, the house finally appeared and before I even approached the house, I saw someone running towards me, Jacob.

He swept me off my feet, spinning me around in a hug that made me laugh despite myself.

I wrapped my arms around him instinctively, feeling a warmth I couldn't ignore

Jacob's arms wrapped around me so naturally that for a split second, I forgot everything else. His warmth seeped into me, making the chill of the night feel miles away

He placed me on the ground and said "Hey angel" his voice filled with warmth and attractiveness.

"hey" I said back then he spoke up "about last night, what happened between you and Sam?" he asked.

"Its- it's nothing honestly it's not that big of a deal" I say trying to dodge the conversation, when he said "Raven" he said gently yet in a nagging way.

I sigh then say " it's just...me and Paul came back late and Sam flipped out and yelled at Paul so I yelled back then after arguing I just stormed out and went back to my house" I say, a bit of sadness in my voice.

Then Jacob wrapped his arms around my waist and embraced me "when will you make up?" he asked.

"I don't know, but I didn't do anything wrong and he yelled at Paul which made me feel... overprotective, in a way, which is weird because I never get like that" I told him.

"It's the mate bond, also why do you smell like cigarettes?" he asked.

The question had caught me off guard "umm it's because...when I was on my way here a guy was smoking so the smell latched on me for some reason" I lied.

"Hmm okay" Jacob says, clearly not believing my lie but didn't ask again.

Then we walked to the house, entering.

When I walked in, no one was around but Emily and Leah.

"Hey gorgeous" Leah says as she hugs me and I hug back while blushing slightly.

"Hey" I reply shyly, I don't know why but Leah is the one who makes me flustered the most.
