"Anna!" Elsa gasped as she woke with a start, her hands stretched out in front of her. To her horror, there were long spikes of ice on the wall in front of her. Gently, she reached up and touched her face, it was lined with frozen tear tracks. Sunlight was already streaming in through the window. Morning already... It's that nightmare again. I wonder, why it haunts me so... and there's something new...Suddenly, the door burst open and Anna rushed in, a worried look on her face. "I heard you cry for me from next door..." Anna trailed off as she got a good look at her sister and the wall with spikes of ice. Realisation dawned on her face and she sat down on Elsa's bed. "It's the nightmare again, isn't it?" she murmured softly in concern. Elsa nodded mutely. "The dream started fine...but then all of you left and I was so scared..." Elsa said. "Don't worry, I'll always be here..." It was a nightmare she had had for weeks now, the same every time. "There's something new though, there is a really pale young man in a blue hoodie and brown pants...I don't recognize him... and there is another man in black clothes...I really don't know how I came to dream of them without recognizing either of them." Elsa confided to Anna. "Hmm...maybe you have met them before but forgot or, maybe it means something else..."Anna murmured, tapping her chin thoughtfully. Elsa thoughts started wandering... Perhaps that young man was the one who would take Anna and Kristoff away from me...and hurt Anna...and who was the older man dressed in black? Why did he have Anna? Did he rescue her? His expression was unreadable...was it pity? I don't know either of them, why would they appear in my dreams and why, would I know their names?
"Hey! I have a great idea for Anna's dress! We should add orange here...blue there and yellow and purple in the middle..." Olaf waddled into the room, a wide smile on his face as he held up a piece of paper. Olaf had drawn a dress and coloured it in with colours that really don't go well together. Startled by Olaf's sudden, not to mention loud, entrance, Elsa was jolted from her thoughts. She hurriedly turned away removed the tear tracks on her face and the ice spikes on the wall before Olaf could see them. Anna's body shook as she tried desperately to contain her laughter at the sight of the hideous dress Olaf had drawn. "No offense, but Olaf, those colours don't really go well together and wedding dresses are usually white," Anna broke it as gently as she could to Olaf. Olaf's face fell. "But you can help me choose a design for my wedding dress later on," Anna added quickly. Olaf's face immediately lit up and a smile blossomed on his face, "What time is it?" "11am, 4 hours from now," Anna replied. "That would be 240 minutes, and that would be 14400 seconds, 1, 2, 3, 4..." Olaf muttered to himself as he waddled out of the room with his paper still clutched in his hand.
"He is pretty good with numbers, isn't he?" Elsa commented, smiling, while Anna burst into hysterical giggles. "That dress was ... ahh...haaa...haa...and he...he wanted to keep counting until 11am...hahahha..." Anna gasped as she struggled to stop laughing. "Anyway, I'll come and help you with the dress too," Elsa informed Anna. "Are you sure you'll be okay? What with those horrendous nightmares and you're busy schedule..." Anna trailed off, having her giggles replaced by a serious look quite suddenly. "Hey, quit acting like the older sister...I can take care of myself you know... and that look really don't suit you," Elsa said with a laugh, brushing off Anna's worries. "Alright, then I'm off...wedding preparations give me a headache...you're right, it really doesn't suit me, older sister," Anna teased as she jumped up from the bed with a bright smile. "See ya," She said, hopping out of the room with a brief wave in Elsa's direction.
Ahhh...It's so nice to be close with Anna again after so long...Anna is still Anna... Elsa smiled as she changed into a gown and tied up her hair. Pretty much everything had settled down since the coronation day incident-summer was back, Hans shipped back to the Isles, everyone back to their normal lives. With Anna and Kristoff's wedding coming up a few days from now and her usual queenly duties, Elsa definitely had a lot on her workload. However, Elsa found things quite perfect, she and Anna became close once again and Arendelle was doing well with the help of her advisor, William. "Another day of work..."she murmured to herself as she headed out of the room.
A/N
I'm writing this story as a continuation to Frozen and Rise of the Guardians, without changing their original plot. Also, instead of setting the story in an alternate universe, I'm going to keep it to modern world and Arendelle, though mostly Arendelle. I'm also keeping to their timelines, as much as I can. Tell me what you think of it! ;)
