Fortunately, the following days, Jimin had been pretty occupied with uni stuff to even have the time to properly think about what had happened.

When he finally had time on his hands, he wanted to take his boyfriend out and go on a date. It had been a while since they did so, both busy with uni, with Jimin being a senior and Jeongguk now a junior. Maybe it could help him relieve his stress and wind out even if a bit. It was Friday anyway, Jeongguk finished his classes at 7 pm which was dark already, but it was fine. Jimin loved date nights.

He pulled his phone out of his pocket as soon as his last class was dismissed, it was 5:30 pm, and sent his boyfriend a text.

Let's go somewhere tonight? A date? It's been a while! I'll wait for you at the usual spot in your school since I got off mine early. See you :D

Jimin waited half an hour for a reply but assumed Jeongguk was still in class, and had probably seen the message  but couldn't text back yet. He decided to take a walk since it wasn't that far, he loved walking when the sun was about to set and watched as the hues of the sky went from golden yellow to a pale purple as the sky began to darken. It was always such a sight to see, and it reminded him of Jeongguk. The colors of the sky and the feeling of another day ending brought him comfort, much like Jeongguk did.

He reached Jeongguk's school when it was dark, checked his phone but got no reply and he realized that his message hadn't even been read. Regardless, he went to the lab where medtech students usually were and sat on the benches outside the building. He decided to go on the far left in the last row where he was hidden from other students and sat there to wait. He pulled his phone out again to check but still had no reply so he put it back in his pocket, and supported his chin with his hand while waiting for Jeongguk. He kept on looking at the sky’s slowly transitioning colors while his legs swung on the bench.

Unbeknownst to him, however, he had fallen asleep, the exhausting day catching up to him. Luckily, it wasn't over half an hour yet. He woke up just in time, Jeongguk was coming out soon.

Another half an hour had passed, and Jimin was sure everyone had filtered out of the lab by then, but there was still no sign of Jeongguk, his message still unread.

Just as he was about to leave and wait for him at home, he saw two people coming out of the lab, and Jimin could recognize him wherever. It was Jeongguk, but he was with someone, and he was positive it was Jaeya, much to his disappointment. 

He could see them clearly here, but they really couldn't see him because of where he was standing and the darkness that had now completely overtaken the sky. He couldn't hear them though. Jimin just waited as the two of them seemed to be talking, but then Jaeya was walking away and Jeongguk was going after her. It happened so fast, one moment they seemed to be arguing and then the next, Jaeya's hands were around Jeongguk's shoulder and she tipped his toes up to...kiss him.

Jimin spared himself the pain and turned around before their lips could meet. And even though he felt like his heart had just been ripped out of his chest, he walked away.
