🎶: "Wild" by Troye Sivan
With a satisfied smile, Beomgyu placed the last piece of the broken vase on top of the resin glue, grinning from ear to ear seeing his result.
"Perfect!"
Remember how Jiheon accidentally broke Beomgyu's vase?
Now that he finally had a job and received his work schedule, Beomgyu decided that he would use his free time to fix the broken vase.
He bought some silvery resin, read the instruction manual for prepping it, and after many consistent efforts, he finally finished it.
Beomgyu wiped the sweat off his forehead with his sleeve, sighing as he looked at the weather outside.
It's already sunset... where is everybody?
His dad was supposed to be home already half an hour ago, and there was no message from him on his whereabouts either.
Soobin and Taehyun were nowhere to be found, so Kai offered to go search for them.
I'll start worrying once it's dark.
He lifted the vase off the table, carrying the now slightly heavier porcelain structure in his two hands, making his way towards the closed bedroom door.
Shoot I should've opened it beforehand—
Until suddenly, Kai barged into his room, slamming the door to the side loudly.
The sound of it gave Beomgyu such a fright that he almost dropped the vase and could've almost undone all his hard work.
"Kai?! Geez you scared me!" Beomgyu exclaimed.
Kai didn't respond.
His intense eyes narrowed down on Beomgyu's frame, his face, and his concerned eyes.
To think someone did such awful things to you...
"Kai?"
Beomgyu set the vase down on the ground, walking closer to Kai.
"What's wrong?"
Kai finally snapped out of his thoughts.
"What?"
"You're shaking. And you're as pale as a sheet."
Beomgyu reached up to touch the side of Kai's face, feeling his cheeks for temperature. His soft hands on his own skin automatically sent Kai's heart (and his head) into a heated chaos.
"I-I'm fine—"
No I'm not!
"The kitchen it is."
Kai stood like a child in detention in the kitchen, hands folded behind his back as he watched Beomgyu walk around the kitchen island, grabbing the piping hot kettle and an herbal packet as he made the younger some tea.
Meanwhile, Kai's eyes wandered around the room.
How come I've never noticed just how many plants this place has?
It was true.
The living room had many plants and white flowers growing in multicolored pots, situated on the ground, the window sill, and even in some bookshelves.
And Kai could guess who was the botanist in the house.
"When did you start liking botany?" he asked.
Beomgyu glanced up.
"Hmm? Oh, when I was like 12, 13, can't remember."
Twelve... thirteen...
