Just as JJ and I reach his bike, Topper's truck speeds towards us and I share a confused look with JJ as it passes.

"That's Top" He comments before we both spot the huge crate in the truck bed "And that's the cross. Get on!"

We both jump onto the bike and he kicks up the stand, revving the engine loudly before we shoot off after the others.

While following behind the truck we hear loud sirens and I turn my head to see we're being chased by a cop car, red and blue lights flashing.

"J!" I shout in warning.

"I know. I know!" He shouts back "Get ready to jump!"

"Are you fucking crazy?!" I scream at him in disbelief.

"You have to get onto the truck!" He yells at me.

"So you can lead the cops away by yourself? No way!" I scold him and he throws a room brightening smile over his shoulder at me.

"How'd you know?!" He laughs.

"Cause I know you too well!" I smile, clinging onto the boy tighter "If you're gonna turn then do it now!"

"Odette!" He tries to argue.

"I'm not leaving you!" I snap at him.

The motorcycle abruptly lifts onto the front wheel and we spin around until we're now facing the cops who are speeding towards us. JJ leans down to pick up a large rock and revs the engine, glancing back at me.

"Hold on to me tight, okay? Don't let go" He warns me in concern.

"I won't" I assure him, my arms still circled around his chest.

"Let's dance" He murmurs, looking back at the cops.

JJ's bike abruptly picks up speed, moving towards the cop car that has no intentions of slowing down and then he throws the rock at the car, shattering the windscreen. The cop car swerves, turning around and chasing us rather than pursuing the others any further.

We race down the highway at such a fast speed that I'm scared to turn my face away from where it's buried in the back of JJ's shirt and my hair blows around wildly behind me from the wind.

Corner upon corner we swerve around in hopes of losing the cops, but they stay stuck on our asses. We make a quick left, our tired squealing in protest to the sharp turn and we head towards a bridge.

"Do you trust me?!" JJ hollers.

"Always!" I answer without hesitation.

"Remember, don't let go!" He shouts.

Before I can question him he swerves onto the wrong side of the road where an oncoming car is headed straight for us and he turns, wrapping his arms around my body.

We are sent sprawling from the bike as it crashes into the railing and we fall into the bushes below us, JJ breaking my fall as we hit the grass.
