Sae left Luna's office with a scowl, his patience worn thin and his mood sour. He just wanted to get back to his hotel and forget about the entire meeting. But his phone wouldn't stop buzzing in his pocket, the relentless vibration making it impossible to ignore. He already knew who it was before even looking—Shidou.
Pulling his phone out, Sae sighed at the sheer number of messages flooding his screen.
Shidou
SAEEEE
Sae
Sae
SAAAAEEEEEE
ITOSHI SAEEEE
SAEE
SAESae exhaled sharply, somewhere between exasperation and amusement. Shidou's attention span was nonexistent, and his tolerance for being ignored was even lower. With one hand in his pocket, he typed out a reply.
Sae
hi babyIt took less than a second for Shidou to respond.
Shidou
I HAVE TEASae's brow arched slightly. He could practically hear the excitement crackling through the screen.
Sae
oh?
spill.Shidou
No no no
This is CALL-WORTHY teaSae
I can't call right now
I'll ring you when I'm back at the hotelA brief pause—then, predictably, more messages.
Shidou
Ugh, you're so mean
Joking I love you
But hurry the fuck up
I'm actually going to explodeSae shook his head, slipping his phone back into his pocket. Whatever this tea was, hopefully, it was worth the dramatics.
___
Sae lay sprawled across the bed in his hotel room, his back sinking into the plush mattress. One arm was draped lazily over his forehead while the other held his phone against his ear. His voice, though calm and composed as ever, carried the faintest trace of curiosity.
"They what?"
A sharp inhale crackled through the speaker, followed by the unmistakable excitement in Shidou's voice.
"I know, right?! It happened so fast—one second they were fine, and the next? BOOM. Over. Done. Finito. And you are not going to believe the way it all went down. And guess what? I was right there when it happened, Sae. Right. There. Front row seat, best view in the house. It was glorious."
Sae exhaled through his nose, shifting against the pillows as his brows knit together slightly. He wasn't particularly surprised by Shidou's enthusiasm—if there was one thing Shidou loved more than chaos, it was being in the middle of it.
"Go on," he muttered, his voice still even, though he had to admit—he was intrigued.
And that was all the invitation Shidou needed.

Back in Japan...
The door to the dorm slammed open so hard it rattled on its hinges. Rin stormed inside first, his jaw clenched, his entire body thrumming with barely restrained frustration.
Right behind him, Isagi followed, his voice raised, his expression twisted in anger.
"You're so fucking impossible, Rin!"
"Oh, I'm impossible? That's rich coming from you," Rin shot back, his tone sharp enough to cut. He turned abruptly, glaring at Isagi with a fury that could set the room on fire. "You never fucking listen. I told you to drop it, but you just had to push, didn't you?"
