My name is Brenna and I have always loved training killer whales. When I was 4 years old I visited Sea World and saw the Orcas I moved my hands like I saw the trainers do and sure enough one whale responded, Tilikum. I'm 26 years old and in 1994 I first saw the Oracs or the first memory I have from there my parents say I went before and love it because I would cry at home but at Sea World I didn't cry.
I never had a relationship such as the one I have with Kayla who was born in captivity her mom, Kenau, died and her dad, Orky, died. Kayla is different from me she doesn't have her parents and I do. But one thing for sure we both love each other very much. I have one worry and that's if she will attack me.
Orcas have attacked in the past and yes I am scared but Kayla has moved a lot and hasn't been terrible so I worry for if she will drag me around or pull me too the bottom of the pool. My fellow trainers have warned me and of course I take precaution but not enough too where I feel completely safe.
