EPILOGUE
***8 MONTHS LATER***
Daya POV
"Bae can you hit the Quan?" I asked as we drove down the highway.
"I can hit the Quan, I can hit the piss out Quan I can hit your cakes, I can hit the blunt. You name it and I can hit it." he said as we pulled up to a red light.
"Uhm can you not talk like that in front of the babies? They gonna have a bad influence early in their life." I turned around and saw Kolby and Kallie in their car seats. Kolby was sound asleep but Kallie was wide awake and looking around at everything. That was their personalities. I smiled at Kallie and she mugged the hell out of me.
"Do you know who they pops is?" Tes asked. "I'm an angel compared to him."
Kolby and Kallie were Doria's and Q's twins. They were 6 months old and Tes and I were the godparents. Yes, Q was the father and although he and Doria hadn't gotten back together, they were co parenting great and I honestly think it's only a matter of time before they made it official. We all knew they were fucking anyway. They asked us to take the twins to a doctor's appointments because they were painting the nursery. They would also spend the night with us because of the fumes.
"But we have to be good role models baby. What you gonna do when Kallie starts crawling around talking about she can hit the blunt?" I asked.
"My girl know better," he said turning around smiling at her and she lit up with laughter. When he turned around she mugged me again. She was Tes girl but Kolby was just like me. I loved them though.
"Mmmhmm." I said as the next song came on on the Frozen album that we were listening to. It was the only thing that really kept Kallie calm.
"You finished your paper yet?" he asked me.
I looked away. I enrolled in a state university about 15 minutes away instead of going to Howard. I wasn't staying solely because of Tes, it was because I wanted to be with my family. I was growing a relationship with my dad and it was honestly a much better fit for me. I couldn't imagine my life any other way honestly.
"Daya quit playing and write the damn paper. I'm not asking you to either. I'm telling you. Now when we make it to your house, I want you to sit in the kitchen and finish it. I'll take care of the twins in your room while we napping.." He said with a serious tone.
"Okay," I pouted. "What do I get for finishing?"
"I'm gonna handle that," he smirked.
"You're so nasty," I laughed as my phone rang. I looked down and saw it was Christian.
"Hello?" I answered.
"What up Day. What you and Tes doing today?" He asked.
"We have the twins today. Why?"
"Oh okay. Me and Nessa was trying to link up with yall." He said.
"Aww. Maybe tomorrow," I responded.
Nessa and Louis didn't work out so I introduced her to Christian. They really hit it off and were happy together. Nessa and I were cool as hell now. Once you actually got to know her, you would know she was a down to earth girl. She was completely over Tes and they were just friends now. Christian and Tes were cool as well. When I told him about how well Christian helped me get through the whole Lacey situation, he respected him. He wasn't even supposed to be there but got caught in the moment when I wanted to give him a ride.
"Alright. Tell Tes what up." He said.
"Baby Christian said hey," I looked over.
"Tell him what's good?" Tes told me.
