"Finally"

Niall was you're best friend. You had been friends with Niall as long as you could remember. He was always there for you threw everything and anything. He was like you're brother but you secretly wanted him to be more. You started developing a crush on Niall when you were eleven but you never told him.

You would tell him but he has a girlfriend. Her names is holly. She is always giving you dirty looks and saying rude things when Niall isn't there. She's blonde and has a perfect body. Niall thought she was perfect. You knew that she was probably cheating but you never said anything.

You didn't think Niall would believe you. He was her little puppy on a leash. You hated seeing him that way but he wouldn't listen. If Niall was happy then you wouldn't get in his way but you just wanted him to love you the way you loved him. You just wanted him to look at you the same way he looks at holly.

All of the boys knew that you loved Niall. Niall always had a new girlfriend but he has been with holly for about a month now. The boys knew how much it hurt you to see him with someone else. They hated holly with a passion. Every time they saw her they would all give her dirty looks, even Liam.

Today Niall had a charity football game. You being his best friend, of course had to go and support him. He was in the locker room with the other players. You, the boys, and holly all waited for the players to get dressed before going in. Holly immediately ran to Niall.

Niall picked her up and was spinning her in the air. You felt you're heart shatter, just as it did every time they were together. Liam saw how hurt you were so he gave you a tight hug. When you were walking towards Niall all you could hear was the men in the locker room whistling at you.

You ignored the men. The only boy you loved was Niall. Niall and holly looked like they were having a serious conversation. Niall's smile dropped. He nodded his head and holly have him a kiss on the cheek. Holly left the locker room probably going to find someone to flirt with.

Niall still had a frown on his face. Holly must have done something. You walked over to him. You immediately wanted to hug him. You went to hug him but he stopped you. You're smile dropped.

"What's wrong Ni?" You asked

"I-i umm (y/n) you're my best friend and I love you to death but holly really means a lot to me. (Y/n) W-we can't be friends anymore" he said

You felt you're heart break into a million pieces. He had chose holly over you, his best friend. Nothing had ever hurt as much as you're heart did in that moment. That split second changed everything. You felt tears forming in you're eyes.

"W-what? Niall why? Why can't we be friends?" You asked

"Holly is my girlfriend. She's means so much to me and I don't want to lose her. Please understand (y/n)" he said

"I understand. I understand that you're choosing her over me" you said as a tear rolled down you're cheek

"Please....don't see it that way" Niall said trying to put his hand on you're shoulder only to have you push his hand away.

"Niall I have no other way to see it. What do you expect me to do? Say 'oh it's okay I understand, have a nice life?' Niall you are my best friend. You're supposed to always be there for me." You said with you're voice cracking at the end

The tears wouldn't stop. Everyone in the locker room was staring but you could honestly care less.

"I expected you to understand. Maybe after a while holly will change her mind. Just wait awhile." He said pleading

You couldn't take it anymore. He wanted you to wait but you have done that long enough. When he said that, it was you're breaking point. You wiped your tears and took a step closer to him.

"no Niall. I have waited long enough. All I've ever done is waited for you. Every time you got a new girlfriend I waited for you to realize that I loved you. I waited so long for you to see that but you're to damn blinded by that bimbo. I've waited for you to realize that she is nothing but a slut. I have waited my whole life for you to see that the girl who truly loves you is right in front of you. I'm done waiting for you, because waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought. Useless and disappointing." you yelled

Everyone looked at you in shock. Niall just stared at you in disbelief. You scoffed at his stupidity. So with that, you walked out. The boys looked at Niall in so much disappointed. Holly was standing by the door with a smirk on her face.

"Move" you simply said to her

"Why?" She asked

"Because if you don't. I'll make you" you said with attitude.

Everyone was quite amused at this. She moved out of your way and you started walking to the exit of the arena. You stopped walking when you remembered that Liam drove you here. You didn't care anymore. Even if you weren't friends with Niall. You were still going to stay and at least try to have fun.

Liam came running out of the locker room. He saw you and ran over to you engulfing you in a hug.

"You did great in there. Are you okay?" Liam asked

"I'm okay" you said

"Do you want to leave?" Liam asked

"No. I want to have fun I mean after all, my day couldn't get much worse" you said

"Let's go find our seats" Liam said

You and the other boys found you're seats and watched the game. Liam was sitting right next to you. Niall of course got holly better seats then he did you. Holly was practically on the field while you and the boys were upwards more. You didn't really mind though. It was now towards the end of the game. You hated seeing Niall after the fight. You couldn't handle it anymore

"Liam I thought I could do this but I just can't" you said

"It's okay" Liam said

You got up and started walking towards the exit. When you were walking to the exit you could hear the crowd yelling and screaming loudly. You didn't pay much attention to it. You were almost at the exit when you heard you're name being called. You could recognize that voice anywhere. Niall

You turned around and saw Niall running towards you.

"What do you want? Wait aren't you supposed to b-" you were cut off by Niall's lips on yours

Everything bad that had happened that day, didn't matter. It all went away. You could care less about what happened that day because in that moment, nothing else mattered. Niall's hand rested around you're torso. His hands were behind you're back,pulling you closer to him. Niall slowly pulled away from the kiss.

"I'm so sorry princess. I didn't mean to hurt you. I never meant to hurt you. I never want to let you go. I don't ever want to lose you. The only reason I dated those girls was because I thought that you could never love me back, but they're gone. I'm done with holly and any other girl who isn't you. I was trying to distract myself because I didn't want to feel the pain of the thought that you didn't love me. I know I don't show it but (Y/n) no one has ever loved someone as much as I love you." Niall said with tears threatening to fall from his eyes.

You brought you're lips to his. Slowly pulling away after what felt like forever.

"You talk to much" you whispered against Niall's lips. You could feel Niall smile against you're lips. He closed the small space between the two of you and connected you're lips. You both pulled away from the short but sweet kiss

"Be mine?" He asked

"I always was" you said smiling
