"I'll crush you flat like I crushed your shoe!" Some blonde haired student loudly yelled, as he grinded his shoe against Soma's, and accusingly pointed at Soma. You watched in amusement and rolled your eyes at the claims the blondie was making.
"Would that include me too?" You butt in, annoyed at how precious time was being wasted because some blondie wanted to pick a fight with your partner. For a little context, your group of students were up in the mountains, in a secluded cabin. And the kind, maybe homosexual, alumni was your teacher for this specific assignment.
She had asked you to find the partner that you had previously worked with for the beef bourgignon. And in addition the assignment was to use the resources from the mountain to come up with a dish.. However, currently your partner was facing declarations of war.
The blonde male suddenly became flustered and took a couple steps back. "A-ahem!" He clears his throat before he, and who you assume was his brother offer you a formal bow. You laugh at the 180 in his personality, "I was kidding, no need to be so formal." You say, offering them a smile when they stood straight, beside you Soma began giggling at the situation.
"Pfffft! You're so uncool, Nii-chan.." The brunette sibling mumbled as you couldn't help but laugh alongside him. "Shu-shut up! Don't laugh at me too!" The blondie yelled, his cheeks dusted in red blush at the sudden turn in the situation.
"I will definitely never lose to someone like you, Yukihira!" He added, his sudden fiery personality making a return. However before Soma could retort, the brunette brother grabbed his older brother's collar and began to drag them away. "Did you hear me Yukihiraaaaaaaaa." He yells, whilst getting dragged further and dither away.
"What comical siblings." Soma says, still giggling at the situation that had just unfolded in-front of him. "Well, I'm glad you're amused because we've already wasted 10 minutes of our 2 hours." You grumble, as the male turns to you in surprise. "What?!" He asks, comically standing there.
"All the students are out there, gathering their ingredients." You mumble, pointing towards the mountains. He grumbles to himself before grabbing your wrists and rushing outside into the mountains.
As soon as you stepped outside, a fresh breeze had hit you, and you could practically smell the scent of nature all around you. The sound of water trickling echoed through out the forest, with the occasional sound of animals. "Whatcha thinking of cooking?" Soma asks as the two of you observe your surroundings.
"There are traces of rabbit tracks and maybe even," You pause for a moment, observing the soil beneath you closely. "chicken tracks." You mumble, as Soma watched everyone else fish for the river creatures. "We could stand out with chicken or rabbit, but..." Soma mumbles to himself, going off track as his eyes keenly watched the river fish.
"But.. it would be more fun if we use fish like everyone else, and stillllll be better than them." You finish for him, as Soma laughed at the way you caught on. He found it more of a challenge if he could be on the same page as everyone else, and still find himself doing better than everyone rather than using rabbit or chicken to stand out. And of course, you being you, loved a good challenge. A quality he liked.
"I have a couple ideas." You say as Soma leans forward, allowing you to whisper into your ear. You smile at the childish gesture, yet whisper your ideas into his ear. "Woah, that never even crossed my mind," Soma paused, slightly amused at a different perspective of what you could do with these ingredients. "However if we..." He leaned in once more, as he began whispering his own ideas, and the two of you mixed and match.
"Well then, seems I got my hands full with fishing." He grumbles, picking up his hefty supplies as he made his way towards the river. "Cya here in 10!" Meanwhile, you went the opposite way, picking specific herbs and plants as well as looking for a certain animal. You searched through out the forest, placing all your random herbs, seeds, leaves and roots into your basket.
Until you stumbled upon a... chicken coop! "Aha! I found you! You little evil monsters!" You excitedly say as you entered the coop. The chickens all slowly began to surround you, waiting for food, and when no food was given they began to peck at your feet. "Hey, you little monsters. Go away, shoo!" You grumble, trying to move past them.
"I'll eat you if you bother me anymore." You say, shooing the birds away as you made your way towards their nests, successfully finding what you were looking for... eggs!! And with those your recipe was complete. And now you could finally start cooking.
