Loneliness

48 6 10

Broken beyond repair

Thrown out like old silverware

Day by day I live in fear

Of what awaits in my lair

Why will no one lend me an ear

Unresponsive notes to my signal flare

None to care

Not a single prayer

I'm lost in my own desired affair

A pain too intolerable to bear

Crashing tempest, waves meant to impair

Crazed grins insult me with a dare

No matter how many times I pull my hair

How many words given in the form of a swear

Telling them to go elsewhere

They keep returning with a souvenir

Inside, I feel my heart tear

Outside, I rest on a chair

You think they care

It's rare

A voice comes out of nowhere

My sweet dear

You will once again belong here

But only if you become my next heir

And curse yourself with absolute despair

.........

Sound fair?
