"Thanks Leo," I say quietly, staring down at his dark green, old Converse trainers. "I honestly really appreciate it, I just-"
"Erin..." A worried, anxious tone appeared in his voice.
"Leo..?" I questioned.
"I've been wanting to say this for so long.."
"Say what? Leo what's wrong?.." I was getting worried, what was he getting at?
"I like you okay? No.. I really like you. I always have, always will. I want you, Erin. I was too afraid to say it, but now that he is gone, I had to, I couldn't hold it in any longer." He stuttered.
The shock hit me like a ton of bricks.
"I-I love you, Erin.."
I didn't know what to say, then it slipped out. "I love you too."
Leo just stared, then his cute little smirk he always does grew on his face.
There was complete silence.
"Up for some... Ice cream?!" Leo suggested, desperately trying not to make things awkward.
"That would be great."
