To search for backgrounds, I go to Google - the common website everyone finds the perfect picture.

Here are a few keywords you can try out:

- Dark shaded backgrounds
- (your color) pattern backgrounds
- Deviantart texture
- Dark texture deviantart
& many more...maybe you can invent some yourself ;)

As for other websites, I prefer deviantart, where all the greatest artists gather. There are different sorts of texture/backgrounds that are suitable for making covers.

And, there are also apps. If you'd wanna go to the AppStore and get a pattern wallpaper sort of app, it helps too. But the apps I'm talking about here is such as Tumblr, We Heart It, Pinterest and such. You can type in pattern wallpapers and used the ones you desire as your book cover background ;)
