Chapter 4: Got To Try

The Studio Parking Lot

??: "Hey Miley."

Miley: "Hey Trace. I'm surprised to see you here."

Trace: "Honestly..I didn't want to be here. Demi dropped me off so I couldn't just drive off." (laughs)

Miley: "Why would she do that?"

Trace: "Well since I didn't get the morning shift at the bar, Demi wanted me to stay outside the studio to make sure Nick didn't show up."

Miley: "Why would she do that? She knew that I called the studio security about Nick."

Trace: "She just wanted to make sure Nick didn't try anything with your security guys. Besides..she wanted me to kick his ass if he even tried to get inside the studio."

Miley: (laughs) "Oh gosh. You gotta love Demi and her ideas."

Trace: "You know she really cares about you and so do I or else I wouldn't be here." (smiles at Miley)

Miley: (hugs Trace) "Thanks Trace. Well let's get out of here, I bet you're ready to go home."

Trace: "Yes I am! I was expecting you to stay later at work. Not that I'm saying you should stay later."

Miley: (laughs and gets into the car) "Don't worry I'm not gonna stay. I'm actually going to be getting off work early this week since there isn't any recording sessions this week.

Trace: (gets in the car & puts his seat belt on) "Well that's good."

Miley: (puts her seat belt on and starts the car) "Should I stop off anywhere or just go home?"

Trace: "Just go straight home. I'm starving and thirsty."

Miley: (laughs) "Home it is then." (drives home)

With Nick in His Office

Nick couldn't believe that he screwed up everything he had with Miley. She was the perfect girl and he destroyed that by cheating on her with a girl that was not even in the same league as Miley. The night he came back to their place, he was shocked to find all her stuff was gone. He knew she was mad, but he taught maybe they could work it out or something. Obviously, he was wrong and it wasn't their place anymore. It was just his place and he never felt so lonely in his life. Nick was brought out of his thoughts when he heard a knock on his office door.

Nick: "Come in."

Selena: (walks through the door sexily & over to Nick) "Hey Nicky baby! I've been texting you, but you haven't responded." (lifts her pencil skirt and straddles Nick) "Since you haven't responded, I decided to pay your office a visit." (winks at Nick and begins to kiss his neck)

Nick couldn't believe Selena would have the guts to come in his office and do this. She saw what had happened between him and Miley. She couldn't even wait a week before she made a move. This just made Nick furious and wonder why he cheated on Miley with this girl. She obviously didn't have any morals and self-respect. He had to get rid of Selena..for good. If there was any hope for him and Miley to get back together, Selena had to be out of the picture.

Nick: "You know what Selena..you're pathetic." (lifts Selena off of him & starts walking around his office) "You were there when Miley and me broke up. I thought you would at least give me space to embrace the break up until you made a move, but you proved me wrong. I can't believe I cheated on Miley with you!" (looks at Selena sitting on his desk)

Selena: (sitting on Nick's desk) "Nicky..let's not fight. I love you and I know you love me. Miley was just in the middle of our love and now that she's gone, we can finally be together. We can even celebrate by you taking me right here on your desk baby." (winks & smirks at Nick)

Nick couldn't believe that Selena basically ignored what he just said. He was tired of Selena and wanted to get rid of her. He just didn't know how.

Nick: (looks at Selena) "Selena you need to get some things straight. First of all, I don't love you. I never loved you. You were just someone I could fuck whenever I wanted to. Secondly, Miley was never in the middle of whatever love you think we have. There is no love between us. Last but not least, we will never be together. I love Miley! I want to get her back and make her happy again. I will never stop loving Miley just to be with you. I want nothing to do with you anymore because I want the life I had with Miley. No matter what you do..I will always choose Miley over you. I really need you to get this through your head and understand me."

Selena couldn't believe what Nick just said. When they first began sleeping around, she didn't have any feelings for him. Once they kept on seeing each other, she couldn't help but think that maybe there could be a future for them if he left Miley. Selena did fall in love with Nick and it hurt to hear that Nick didn't feel the same way about her. Even though Nick loves Miley, she wasn't gonna give up on him.

Selena: (gets off the desk & walks to Nick) "I understand you Nick, but I don't choose to accept it. I'm not going anywhere and I'm not gonna give up that easily." (kisses his cheek) "See you around Nicky." (walks out his office)

Nick wanted Selena to leave him alone. How was he suppose to get Miley back if Selena wasn't going to back off. Nick needed Miley in his life. She was his other half and it killed him to know that he broke her heart. He just hoped that maybe she would give him the chance to repair her heart and prove that he really loves her. That's if he gets the chance, considering the fact that Selena won't give up and will find a way to screw up anything that involves him and Miley.
