17. Bliss

I wake to the machine going off. "She's up." Is that Maya? I look around but I can't see anything. "Angel. I'm so glad your okay. You had me worried." "I can't see." "The medicine they gave you is known to cause temporary blindness it will be gone in an hour." The nurse says. "Baby." Hearing King voice lights up my heart. He kisses me. "Baby she's beautiful." "Kayla is here and I can't see her?!?" That makes me sad.

"Baby chill down, your making your pressure go up." "How did everything go?" I ask. "Everything is fine you have a healthy baby girl on your hands." The nurse says, "We're going to give you some medicine it is going to make you sleep but once your up you'll be able to see again." "Okay." "I'll be here when you wake up baby." "Alright baby."

I wake up a few hours later and I can now see clearly. I look over a King sleeping and holding Kayla. She is a doll. "Baby." "Hm." He mumbles, "Oh shit." He gets up. "Can you see?" He asks. "Yes." "How many fingers am I holding up?" He asks laughing. "King stop playing." "I wasn't about to give you our daughter and you drop her because you can't see." I laugh as he hands her to me. Her eyes open. "Hey Kayla Marie!"

I can't believe I'm holding my baby girl. She's really here. We are going to have a lot of shit to do once were back home. "You know I'm really sorry about that shit at the restaurant. If you would have let me explain, I never slept with her currently. She was a bitch I fucked years back. Yes I lied about knowing who she was because I know how you get. You slammed the girl head down and covered my ass in a milkshake before I had chance to catch her in her lie."

I look at him and study his face. I've been with him long enough to know when he's lying about something. Now doesn't look like one of those moments. "I'm sorry." "It's okay baby I'm just happy your safe now. Had me tearing the city apart and you weren't even there." I laugh, "I'm glad to be here with you. You were all I could think about. Well that and why the hell yo mean ass daughter kept kicking me." He laughs, "We're together now that's all that matters." "I love you King." "I love you too baby."

My next day were about to be discharged and we take out happy asses back home! I can't wait to get in my own bed. I wonder what King did to Mikey ass. That whole experience was crazy! Knowing that the girl was lying about that lil shit I feel kind of bad for pouring my shake on him but he probably never should've been with the girl in the first place years ago. I laugh as we walk into the house.

"Welcome Home!" I jump back. It startled me thinking I'm walking into an empty house. "Aw you guys!" The entire house is decorated. Pink balloons and baby elephants are everywhere. "Welcome home baby." King says kissing my forehead. "Thank you baby." We walk into the living room and see Maya, Grandma, Nesha, Rico, Cay, Jr, Jayden,  T, Tia and their children, my mother, King's father and even Kira and Jamari. "Let us see her."

I unwrapped Kayla and give her to Grandma first. "She is a doll." "I'm so happy I have a niece." Cay and Maya come over to me. "Congratulations mama I'm so glad you're home girl. I thought we were going to have to call in CIA to find yo ass if King messed up one more building." Cay says hugging me. "I'm glad to be home man y'all just don't know it was crazy." "I believe it. King ass was like a blood hound looking for you." Maya says. We laugh.

My mom comes up to me carrying Kayla. "I'm glad your home baby." "I'm happy to be here." "I'm finally a grandma to a beautiful baby girl." "I know." "Took long enough King." She yells. He comes over, "What I do?" He asks smiling. "Took forever to give me a grand baby." "Well ma you finally have one now." Jayden runs over to us. "Hey auntie Angel." "Hey Jayden!" "How did that baby come out of your stomach?" "Jr come get your son." "I tried to have the talk with him. You didn't want me to do it." Jr says laughing.

"I thought I was gone have to come out of retirement and look for you. King ass was a nervous wreck and I don't blame him. I would've been too." Jr says hugging. "Oh I'm not talking to y'all until you two get married." I say playfully rolling my eyes. They both laugh, but I'm serious as hell. "Jayden tell your parents to get married." "What does that do?" "Make them one..." "How is that benefiting me?" I laugh, "Boy you are definitely your father's child." "That's for sure." Cay says laughing.

We all chill around and eat. It's the baby shower we never had. We played a few games and open presents, it went great. I'm so glad to be home with my baby but most importantly I'm so excited and overjoyed about being a mother. Everything is done downstairs and we head up. I don't want to let Kayla go but I need to shower.

"King grab her." "Alright baby." He gets up. "Hey daddy's girl." "Baby when you putting her crib up?" I ask finding my clothes. "She sleeping in here." "Okay but she's not sleeping in here for forever." "Says who? Yes she is." I laugh, "Alright then daddy." I shower and get dressed. I walk into the room and Kayla and King are knocked out. I get inside them. "You good baby?" "Yes." He wraps his arm around me. "Good night baby I love you." King says. "I love you too."
