Chapter 6 - Shopping and a Fight

Erza's POV

"Jenny! That is not formal!" Mirajane shouted and I laughed.

It was afterschool and Mirajane, Jenny and I were shopping for something that I could wear for my date on Friday. Jellal said to wear something formal and I don't have anything formal so that is what we are looking for. And what better people to have than the models Mirajane and Jenny? Yep, Mirajane was a part time model and she invited her friend at modelling, Jenny, to come with us. Jenny had long curly blonde hair that was tied in a ponytail and she was really beautiful.

"I think it would look good on Erza" Jenny said and gave me what she was holding.

I looked it up and down. It was a mini dress that was very revealing and short. I would never wear this in a million years.

"It's too revealing but... go and try it on" Mirajane grinned.

My eyes widened and I was about to protest but they pushed me into a changing room. Just great. I took off my clothes and changed into the dress. It was black and lacy. The bottom of it just covered my butt and it showed a bit of cleavage. I really didn't want to show them the dress but I sighed and walked out of the change room.

"Erza! You look so gorgeous" Mirajane exclaimed.

"No, she looks sexy" Jenny grinned.

Oh no. I quickly locked myself in the change room before they could do anything else.

"Open up, Erza" Mirajane called. "Fine, but try this formal dress on."

She threw a dress over the door and I caught the bundle of material. I let it fall out and found that the dress looked amazing but I felt like it didn't suit my style. However, I put it on and it fit really well. It was a long dark blue dress that had a sash around the waist. I opened up the door and spun around so the girls could get a good look.

"Hmm, I think it looks beautiful" Jenny declared.

"No, it looks good but not right. What do you think, Erza?" Mirajane asked.

"Well, maybe I should look around the store and I might find something" I suggested.

They both thought it was a great idea so I walked around, still in the formal dress. I gazed around and saw so many pretty dresses. There was nothing that caught my eye until I turned around and saw the perfect dress. I walked up to the rack like I was in a trance and took the dress off the coat hanger.

"Wow, that's a really beautiful dress, Erza" Mirajane said from behind me.

"I'm gonna try it on" I informed them and went into the change room.

It took a while to put on the dress but it was worth it. The dress was a long red dress that was delicate and had slight ruffles at the bottom. It had only one strap over my right shoulder. I smiled at my reflection in the mirror because I looked amazing.

"Hurry up!" Jenny called from outside.

I took one last look at my reflection and then stepped outside. The girls' jaws dropped on the ground as they saw me. Their eyes were in sync as they looked me up and down.

"Oh my god, Erza. You look beautiful" Jenny said.

"And actually elegant for once" Mirajane joked.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I demanded.

Mirajane smiled. "It actually looks perfect. Are you going to get it?"

I nodded and went back to change into my normal clothes. After I was in my skirt and t-shirt, I carried the red dress out to the counter and paid for it. I was really happy that I bought it and couldn't wait to see Jellal's reaction. Mirajane, Jenny and I then went to my house to just hang out. One more day and then the day of the date.

It was such a peaceful lunchtime. Everyone just quietly eating, no talking and some lovely birds chirping quietly in the background. I sighed, what a beautiful and quiet day...

BANG!

"Fight! Fight! Fight!"

I spoke to soon, didn't I? I sweat dropped. Sighing, I turned to look at the messed up cafeteria. There in the middle stood Jellal and Zancrow. There was a broken table, an upside down table and the chairs around them were toppled over. What are they doing? My guess is that they were fighting. Does Jellal want to get in trouble? I stood up and walked closer to get a better look.

"Seriously? That's all ya got? You fight like a girl" Zancrow smirked.

He grinned creepily and got into a fighting pose. His long blonde hair was spiked like usual and he was bruised everywhere. Jellal was also bruised, but much more than Zancrow. I could tell that he was holding back because Jellal could throw a punch better than anyone else I knew. I prayed that he would be safe and alright.

"Well then, girls fight better than you" Jellal retorted in a calm manner.

People from the crowds laughed and I joined them too. Zancrow grew angry as he blushed as red as my hair.

"I'll get you for that" Zancrow cried and leaped forward.

He punched Jellal's face and Jellal kneed his chest. That started another fight and people cheering them on as well. I looked for Lucy, Natsu and Gray but found them on the other side of the circle. Ultear and Meredy were nowhere to be seen. Well that's just great.

"Do you want to know what Zeref and Erza were doing in detention yesterday? Something about a innocent little boy that you murd-" Zancrow started.

He was met with a fist in the face by Jellal and his nose started bleeding.

"Did I hit a nerve?" Zancrow smirked.

Jellal's face hardened and he punched Zancrow's face again. Jellal kept going until you could hardly tell Zancrow was a human. Then he leaned down to Zancrow's ear.

"Don't you dare bring Erza into this or talk about the boy" Jellal hissed and I just heard it but I don't think many others did.

I glanced around to make sure no teachers came. It would be a horrible sight if they saw and it would be bad punishment for Jellal. Please, please, don't do anything stupid, Jellal. I watched and flinched every time Jellal threw a punch. Some people in the crowd cried out and yelled to stop but some people shouted to keep going.

"What do you think you are doing? Jellal?" Hades loud voice boomed.

Hades was the assistant principal and he was very scary. He walked up to Jellal and gave him the most intimidating stare ever.

"Come to my office now" Hades ordered and walked off.

Jellal gave one quick glance at me before following Hades. Then some nurses came and took Zancrow away. Even looking all beat up and horrible, Zancrow had a slight smirk on his face. Teachers came and told everyone to go back to their business and that's what we did but I couldn't even concentrate for a second.

Afterschool, I waited outside the school gates. Jellal was taking a long time, maybe he has detention or something worse. What if he goes to jail? Nah, he wouldn't... would he?

I texted Jellal. He quickly replied back.

Detention.

I decided not to text anymore so I turned on my heel and walked home. All the while, I was biting my nails in trepidation. I also remembered that Zeref would be at detention as well. Hopefully nothing bad happens, but isn't Zeref all about bad?
