Chapter 1 - Remember?

It had been 4 years since Niall and I had got back together after we fell apart when he had to move back to England and we are both 22.

I still remember that horrible day like it was yesterday.

The never-ending tears that ran from my eyes.

The fear of never seeing my true love ever again.

To never hear his melting Irish accent.

His adorable laugh.

His perfect voice.

His beautiful features.

The fear I’d never get that again, let alone see that, nearly caused me to break down.

I also remember the song he wrote for me.

He sang it to me the night he asked me to be his girlfriend.

“Baby you could stop the pouring rain, 

you could even stop a hurricane.

You make me smile like a summers day,

you make the tear drops just wash away.

When I first looked into your eyes,

I knew you weren’t a surprise,

If only you knew girl!

I need you by my side,

No need to run and hide.

I’ve been trying to find a way through

and baby I found you.”

I remember feeling so special and so happy. That was one of the things that really, really made me happy.

I also remember the car crash.

The sudden light that appeared by our car.

The last thing I heard was Niall’s horrified screams.

The shock I felt myself go through.

Thinking I had lost Niall was the worst thing I ever went through.

He was my everything and seeing him disappear right in front of me was horrific and I never, ever want to go through that again.

I still remember the exact words I said to him, as my last goodbye.

‘I know you can’t hear me, but I just wanted to say, that I love you so much, you mean the world to me. The doctor told me I had to say my goodbyes, but I can’t, I can’t believe that you might be leaving me. I’m not ready to say goodbye. Niall, you can’t do this to me, do you not understand how much this is hurting me? Even though you’re killing me here, I love you so much. Thank you for being there for me, thank you for….for everything. Without you, I don’t know where I’d be.
