He never left her.
She ran out the door.
He finally kept his word, he promised, he swore.
She couldn't see the truth. She was blinded by fear.
He watched from the doorway, as she ran out of sight.
The end is happening after all of those years; it's finally here.
She knew this would happen one day,
therefore, left a box of letters, under the bed.
He pulled out the box, but left the letters unread.
He claimed he had no faith-
But the faith he had in her coming back, was strong.
So, he sat on the porch and waited.
All the night long.
