It's been five long years since the fire, and today is the 3 year anniversary of the Funtom Company's success. In celebration the company has now expanded to the Western side and is getting much publicity, especially the fact that it is owned by an orphaned 13 year old boy.

~*Ciel's POV*~

"Good morning, my lord" a tall young looking butler with raven black hair and crimson red eyes opens the door, pushing a tea cart into the room.

"You're late, Sebastian." I scowl and pick up my eye patch from my night stand and hand it to the butler.

"My apologies, young master. There seemed to be a bit of an issue in the kitchen this morning." He ties the eye patch over my one fuchsia eye that holds the faustian contract I made with him a few years back and bows before me pouring me some tea, "This morning I've prepared Darjeeling Tea with a scone" He smiles as he sets the tea and platter in my hands. "As for this morning's breakfast, I've prepared a poached egg over a smoked salmon fillet." He walks over to the window and opens the drapes letting the harsh sunlight flood the room.

I nod my head and finish off my tea placing it in his hands, "and what is on today's agenda?"

He gives a knowingly fake smile and places the tea cup and saucer back on the cart and goes to my closet picking out a mossy green outfit with a blue ribbon. "Well it is your company's third year anniversary-"

"Cancel all plans for today. I wish to just go out to the town today and visit my parents' graves."

Sebastian finishes dressing me and bows "I shall prepare the carriage immediately, my lord." He begins pushing the cart out of the room.

Once he's out the door and away from my view I sigh lightly and lay back on my bed, "He knows I make my rounds to the grave yard this day of every year. Stupid demon." I mumble sitting up once more and walk downstairs to get this morning's meal.

~*Your POV*~

I wake to a small boy shaking my shoulder angrily, "Wake up! You're going to make us BOTH late for school!"

I shoot up from my slumber and rub my eyes, "Sorry Neil," I ruffle his hair and stand up ushering him out the door, "I need to get dressed now, you wouldn't want to be late to school on your special day, right?"

He pushes my hands off him and rolls his eyes "You better have a good birthday present for me (y/n)" he closes the door after giving you a stern look.

You just sigh, "Yeah, yeah...I'll get it before school, don't have to be so mean about it" mumbling to yourself and gets dressed in your school uniform, a blue and white dress with a red tie and brush your hair putting it up in a ponytail with a piece of red ribbon and put on a bit of unnecessary makeup. "Neilllllll!" you call as you walk out of your room and grab your school bag that was hanging neatly behind the door and sling it on your back.

Neil comes dashing over and hops up grabbing his school bag and putting it on opening to door in a rush "Took you long enough!" he hops out the door and beckons you out the door, "let's go, let's go! We have no time for cold feet!"

I smile and walk out the door locking it behind myself "Sorry kid," I turn around and walk him to his school house, which was a mere block down the street but I wasn't allowed to let him walk alone due to the busy streets and crowd rushing to get to work early. Even your foster parents had left for work before you and you foster brother, Neil, had left for school.

Yes, your foster parents and brother. *FLASH BACK* after the night you had spent with Ciel in the woods you had woken and was in pain, while he was besides you during that you had passed out and for some reason when you woke he was nowhere in sight. As you left the woods there was an investigation going on at the brunt down and a few of the remaining servants were being questioned you eavesdropped behind a nearby tree and overheard a conversation going on between the chief of the Scotland Yard and a few others from the Yard.

"It seems there are no survivors of the Phantomhive family," the chief says looking over a few sheets of paper.

"But the bodies of Rachel and Vincent Phantomhive were found," another man said, "can we really just presume both their children dead?"

The chief scowled, "Do you see any evidence of them being alive? They obviously perished, their small bones must have burnt or are just somewhere in the rubble. They will be presumed dead and will both have a memorial burying alongside their parents."

You had been so upset to hear that Ciel was nowhere and presumed the worst had come upon him, so you ran. You ran far away and eventually made your way to a trading port and saw the current docked ship was heading for America. "Perfect, America; the home of the brave and land of the free." You snuck onto the ship and endured the long trip stealing portions of food from supply closets late at night and hiding out in the cargo room during the day till the ship finally reached land and you scurried out and ran out and got as far from the port as you could, knowing hitching a ride without paying would lead to great punishment.

You eventually made it a city and discovered you had landed in New Jersey, the Gardening State. It was a blossoming state with quite a few factories and many acres of farmland along with a few rail road tracks every once awhile. You were able to make it to a nice city and found an orphanage where you planned to reinvent yourself, which didn't turn out that well but you finally settled in this home of the Smith's a couple years back and have been here ever since and helped the family raise a little boy, none other than- *FLASH BACK OVER*

"(Y/n)!!!!!!" Neil shook your arm and grunted snapping you out of your little trance "Stop doing that. It's weird. Well I'm at my school so you can go now," he says shooing you away with his hands. Ever since he found out that you were adopted by his parents before he was born and they both still favored YOU over HIM, he has been very ill-mannered towards you. You don't mind though, he reminds you of Ciel in a way, being that he was your younger brother and you had missed him severely. You were the one to pick out little Neil's name since your foster parents had thought it sounded quite nice together, Neil Smith. Nice ring to it. "(Y/N)!" he yelled again, "STOP DOING THAT!!!!" he said and turned on his heel heading towards the school house.

You sweat dropped and rubbed the back of your neck and yelled out at Neil "Have a good day!!!!!!" before walking off and into the crowd of people and tried to rush around looking for a good present for your little foster brother for his birthday. You stumbled across a new shop that had just opened, "Finally!" you fist pumped the air and walked into the shop, you had been waiting for this shop to open for this exact occasion, it was a toy store filled with toys that came directly from England.

As you were wandering around the store you stumbled across a stuffed bunny that was absolutely perfect for Neil. The bunny was wearing a top hat and had a ribbon around its neck and had a slightly dignified look to it, but still seemed cuddly enough; just like Neil! You smiled and purchased the bunny and ran off to school.
