*A/N HEY GUYS! WHATS UP! So I haven't written in a while, and I said to myself 'Kelsey, you have to update something' and seeing as I haven't updated this in MONTHS here we go! You smile at the stage, the VMAs were way more then you had expected them to be, there was so much drama so many memorable moments. But there was that one performance that got stuck in your mind; Justin's performance was wonderful, such a powerful experience especially when he broke down crying.
When the show ended everyone was evacuated from the building, it was almost completely empty aside from the few people taking down the screens and stage stuff, and soon there would be no evidence of this event. "Excuse me miss, you need to leave" one of the stage hands said tapping your shoulder.
You had made your way to the back of the arena and were sitting in one of the seats, staring out at the stage that was now nothing more than a flat platform. "Oh, I'm sorry, I was dazzled by what you do, that is a lot of effort you all put into such a performance just to have it torn down hour after." He shrugged his shoulders, "I still love the job though, I get to meet all kinds of great people like yourself who appreciate my work, I get to meet all kinds of celebrities and get to know some of them, I get to go to all these awards shows for free and watch them whereas other people have to pay hundreds of dollars."
"I'm sorry, I never got your name," he said extending a hand.
"Oh, I'm (y/n), Nice to meet you." You say shaking his hand and smiling.
"Yo, Steven! What's up bro, I haven't seen you for a long time, and how have you been? How's the family, how's Buster?"
"Oh man, hey Justin. Ah, families great; Stella was telling me how jealous she was that you and I were friends, and James was talking about how Uncle Justin was going to be on TV. Buster is doing great, how you remember all his stuff, you meet so many people!" Steven said, man-hugging Justin Bieber.
"I make an effort to remember people, you know, in case something like this happens... then I can make conversation with them." Justin said, smiling at him and then turning his attention to you, "Hey, I don't think we've met before," Justin says extending a hand for you to shake, "Hi," you choke out as you force an awkward smile, "Did you enjoy the show?" He asked dropping his hand to his side.
"Yeah, it was great, your performance is still welded into my head, you crying really showed how proud you are that you overcame a fear of being hated. Justin, you're finally being accepted," He just smiled, "I'm glad someone got the tear reason right, I'm going to have to explain everything in a couple days at my interview with Jimmy Fallon." He said raising his eyebrows and then dropping them, "Oh that should be fun then." He just chuckled and then looked back at Steven, "Do you guys need any help?" Steven shook his head no, "You want to grab some coffee, I'm not going to the party." Justin said smiling at you, you simply nod, "Coolie, let's go." Justin said linking your arms and then walking with you out of the arena.
"You two kids have fun," Steven said, "Tell James and Stella I said Hi, and that I'll come and visit them soon." Justin called over his shoulder, before flinging the door open letting the hot summer breeze through the door.
