"Where's your bag, babe?" Mike asked Carrie, rolling his suitcase to the taxi. It was late in the morning and their flight was leaving in a few hours.

"Next to the bathroom," she mouthed, listening to Ivey on the phone. "So he's sleeping right now?"

"Yes," Ivey replied, she was very solemn and worried about the little boy. She was watching him for the time that Carrie and Mike were gone.

"Maybe he has the flu," the best friend suggested, a frown on her face too. She sat on the hotel bed, listening to her.

"He's really under the weather. I am glad you both are coming home today. He may be homesick." You could hear Ivey beginning to collect supplies for lunch. "He's just been really spacey and pale. I gave him medicine because he said his head was hurting but it only helped a tad bit."

"I'll make him an appointment when we land. Thank you, Ives!" Carrie smiled. "We're about to leave, I love you!"

"I love you too, girl," The friend smiled. "I'll see you later."

Carrie hung up and fixed her hair in the mirror, making sure she looked halfway decent before exiting the hotel room forever. She looked in every spot of the room, making sure she and Mike didn't leave anything behind.

"Is everything clear?" Mike asked as he entered the room.

Carrie smiled, nodding her head. "Isaiah's sick, Mike. Ivey said he was under the weather and medication wasn't helping him. He didn't even want to play with Mark, you know how much he loves playing with him!"

"He'll be okay," he consoled, walking over to give Carrie a hug. "He's a strong little dude."

They both laughed at Mike's statement, but Carrie knew he was right. Isaiah was stronger than any boy she'd ever known.

"We better get going," Mike yawned, squeezing Carrie and lightly taping her bottom.

"Why are you sleepy, didn't you get a good night's sleep?" Carrie winked, yawning shortly after he did.

"I did but only four hours of it, because I had an amazing night with you!" He lifted Carrie up by her waist and plopped her on the bed, showering her with kisses and tickling her stomach.

"Mercy!" She laughed, tears close to ruining her mascara.

Mike stopped torturing Carrie and pressed his lips against hers, lifting her off of the bed and setting her on her feet. Carrie felt as if her heart was fluttering while he was doing this, she loved the way he made her feel.

"Ready?"

"I'm going to miss Aruba." Carrie sighed. "So many great memories were made in two short weeks."

"Agreed," Mike laughed as they both left the room, shutting it for the final time.

Carrie stretched her arms and legs when her and Mike walked into the airport. She was so happy to finally be back in Nashville and to be able to see her best friend and Isaiah.

They rolled their suitcases to the front of the airport and waited to be picked up. The sun was setting and only a few people walked up to Carrie and Mike asking for autographs.

"There they are!" Mike grinned as he saw Isaiah running towards them and Ivey walking right behind him. He may have been sick but seeing his parents made him cheer up quickly.

"Daddy! Mommy!" Isaiah squealed running as fast as he could. He brushed his brown hair out of his face as he sprinted towards the pair. They both crouched down so he ran into the middle of them. With their arms opened wide, Isaiah ran right into both of them. They wrapped him in their arms and kissed his head, asking how he was.

"I missed you sooo much!!!" Isaiah smiled widely now hugging them individually.

"I missed you too, babe," Carrie hugged his frail body tightly, still crouched down at his level. Brushing his hair out of his face, she felt his body become heavier. She looked down at Isaiah's face, her eyes widened and she felt her heart stop. His eyelids were closed and he was unsafely pale. "Isaiah..." She said, shaking him. Tears started to roll
down her cheeks. "Mike!" She cried, looking up at him and Ivey conversing. "He's not breathing."

The adults became panicked, too, and everything was becoming a blur.

"Someone call 911!" Mike shouted.
