CHAPTER FIVE - "RETURN OF THE CAVEMAN" (PART TWO)

Koda turned around, to see slammer coming his way.

"Two rangers locked up, time to give them a cellmate" slammer explained, He threw another one of his cages at Koda.
"Your getting a life sentence, without parole!" Slammer roared as Koda counteracts, kicking the back.

Koda quickly grabbed a shovel, that was near him and got ready to fight slammer.

"Where are my friends?!" Koda asked slammer, as he attacked him with the shovel.

"You'll be joining them soon! Stop trying to break out before your even in!" Slammer said then he yanked the shovel away from Koda as he knocked him down. Slammer was just to strong for Koda to fight alone, so in the end slammer sent him flying across the park, falling down some steps.

"The smart thing to do is come quietly! But you're not very smart, are you?" Slammer insulted Koda, as he threw the cage. Koda turned around and saw a young boy riding his bike behind him.

"watch out!" Koda said, as he grabbed the boy. unfortunately, slammer captured them both.

"two's double the fun!" slammer said. Koda and the young boy were teleported to a cave, where Chase and Amelia was being held captive.

"Koda" Chase said in relief as Koda attempted to open the cage bars with his caveman strength. "we tried to morph but we can't" Chase explained.

Koda was still trying to bend the cage bars, but he couldn't do it. "Even you can't bend these bars" Amelia said in dismay, as her eyes fell on the young boy with Koda "Hey, who is that?"

Koda turned around and bent down to the young boy who was clutching his leg, looking like he was in pain. "You okay?" Koda asked the young boy, as he removed his bike helmet. "my leg, I think its broken" The young boy replied.

"Koda, look! the cage landed on the bike, maybe you can get out" Chase pointed out. Koda turned and pushed the bike from underneath the dent of the cage, then slid himself out and pulled the young boy out. "Careful don't hit leg" Koda instructed as he began to make a fire.

"Nice work for getting out. this cave is too dark for..." Chase began to say but was stopped when Koda managed to start a fire.

"Wow" the boy and Amelia said in amazement. Chase smiled, as he said "ah, you've gotta teach me how to do that mate."

"What is your name?" Koda asked they young boy.

"Peter..." peter answered

"Peter... can you hold torch?"

"yeah."

"He needs doctor" Koda said to Chase and Amelia as he ribbed some of his shirt, to make a shift sling. Chase looked at Amelia, as she got her Dino Com out so try and get a hold of Kendall but it was no use, "Kendall? can anyone hear me? Is anybody out there."

"its some kind of field, jamming our equipment" Chase explained. As Koda finished wrapping up Peter's leg, he took the torch as Peter asked "which way?"

"The wind show us" Koda answered as the wind blew the flame to the left. "we go this way" Koda said, pointing to the right. Koda turned around then Peter Climbed onto his back.

"I get Peter out, then I come back" Koda said to Chase and Amelia.

"Good luck" Chase and Amelia said in unison.

Back at the Dino Museum, Kendall was quickly walking through the museum to the cafe, with a worried look on her face. She met up with Tyler, Shelby and Riley at the counter and said quietly to them "Chase, Amelia and Koda are late..."

"Koda doesn't know what time is" Riley said

"Chase is always late, but it's kinda weird for Amelia she is never late for work" Shelby added on.

"True, but they aren't answering their Dino com's either" Kendall said quietly so that nobody could hear them. The team looked at each other with worry, as Kendall instructed "Tyler, Riley take the Dino cycles. Their scanners will allow you to cover more ground."

"Okay" Tyler said as he and Riley left to find their friends.

Shelby and Kendall exchanged looks as Shelby went on to finish her shift before helping to find Koda, Chase and Amelia.

Back at the cave, Koda and Peter were taking a short break. Koda used a piece of cloth to wet it, using a water leakage above the cave. He used the cloth, to dap the dirt off of Peters forehead.

"Peter, I have a little brother, like you. I protect him, I protect you" Koda said, as he and Koda fist pumped. As Peter got on Koda's back, they resumed there travels through the cave.

Slammer came to check on his hostages, but only to see one of the cages empty.

"What?! A jailbreak on my watch, that ranger is more clever than I thought! I'll crush him" slammer yelled, as he tossed the bike in anger.

"Hey um, I'm pretty clever too. Let us out and I'll show you" Chase said, as he looked weirdly at Amelia, like he was trying to get her to agree.

"Yeah he's pretty clever, for a hot shot" Amelia quickly agreed.

"You wanna show someone?! Show sledge! He'll eat you too for breakfast! Now, I have a ranger to catch" slammer said. He followed the same direction, Koda went.

Amelia walked around the small cage, rapidly breathing as she rubbed her forehead. "I hope Koda, finds help I can't handle another minute in this cage" Amelia said,,trying to calm her breathing down but it was no use.

"Hey lia relax, take a deep breaths, in and out" Chase said, taking Amelia in his arms, as she layed her head on his chest, she breathed in and out. Whilst Chase, smoothed his hand up and down her back giving her comfort, deep down in his heart this felt right.

Since they first met each other, Chase always knew he had feelings for her but with him being a ladies man and always flirting with with girls, he's never notice how beautiful and caring Amelia is. Yet Chase knew deep down that she was more like a sister to him, and that he didn't want to ruin that relationship.

"Watch your back, Koda" Chase quietly said to himself, hoping Koda won't get captured by slammer.

Whilst slammer began his search, Koda was climbing the cave wall, hoping it was a way out of the cave. "You won't escape me!" Slammer roared out, making Koda climb faster. His promise to Peter, kept him going.
