Harry knows he doesn't have a chance. He knows that his extreme lack of knowledge on this particular subject, and maybe just his lack of confidence, won't get him on the football team. It's not like Harry is doing it because he enjoys playing football, it's because the captain of the team just happens to be the love of Harry's life. Yes, yes Harry Styles, the only openly gay kid in his junior class - and the whole school- has a devastatingly enormous crush on the most popular- and straight- boy in the entire school. Not only was Louis known for his tremendous skills on the footy field, but also for his skills on getting girls in bed. And yes, Harry knows that his deepest desire will never be fulfilled- but it doesn't hurt to look at Louis running around in those joggers during practice. Or push Louis against the lockers after practice and snog the hell out of him. Like that'll happen, Harry thinks and shakes his head, long curls shaking with it.
Like Louis would ever want to be friends with someone like Harry. Like Louis would even want to talk to someone like Harry, let alone snog him. Louis wouldn't want anything to do with Harry...

Hello! It's me, Bella. I just wanna say that I love you all and something you might not know is that I am Larry af. I've been wanting to write something that represents the struggle of the LGBTQA+ community and I hope to educate people of the struggle the people in this community go through just to be themselves, and I'm glad to be doing it through this ship that fills my heart with love and joy. I am by no means saying that Louis and Harry are gay in real life, as this is an alternate universe fan fiction. If, by chance, they happen to be gay in real life I will support them to no end (obviously), but I absolutely refuse to assume their sexuality like I refuse to assume someone's desired pronouns. I am not assuming they are straight or gay, I am just looking at them as people without a set sexual identity and if they happen to identify themselves as gay or straight that is fine by all means (obviously). Just know that if I see any demeaning comments about the boys' sexual orientation I will delete your comment and block you without hesitation.
