Callie's POV

I see Austin laying there with a busted lip and a swollen eye which will soon turn black. Carson is still throwing punches, I need to stop this. I yell stop but he doesn't care, so I run and jump on his back I twist my legs around his torso and my arms around his neck. He stands up confused and turns his head to see me with tears in my eyes. My throat is tight with tears as I croak out "he's had enough for tonight" because I don't want my brother getting in trouble again...

His angry face softens as he nods he steps over to Shane. " thanks for taking her here to stop this fight. I don't think I would have stopped for anyone else. I think it's probably best for you to go I can take her home." Shane nods and leaves to go to his car. Carson looks at me with soft eyes and I'm confused. Then I realize I'm still on his back, he bends down so I can get off and then we start to walk out of the room when Austin grabs me from behind. And I come to a dead stop,

"I knew you'd come back for me" he whispers in a husky voice before spinning me around and kissing me. He grabs me on my Lower back firmly and starts kissing me roughly I start to hit him but it does nothing. I can taste the alcohol on his breath and I see my brother with a deadly glare in his eyes and I know exactly what to do. I send a swift knee to where the sun don't shine and Agustin's grip loosens before he doubles over in pain and I run to my brother. "You BITCH!" He yells before getting up and chasing after me.

Carson puck me up and starts running out of the house I see people clearing a way for us through the crowd before returning to their dancing. Some people give me wolf whistles but I ignore them. Once we get outside I get out of the house I start running to the passenger seat of the car and Carson get in the drivers seat. He locks the door as we speed away the car ride was silent and I could tell that the both of us would soon regret this night.

We park in the drive way and I get out of the car and quickly make my way to the tree I climb to get back to my room. Once I get to the top I open my window and fall through before "oomph" I fall hard on the ground. Wait I forgot I moved my bed to the other side of my room. Damn that was a bad idea, I hear someone coming up the stairs and I quickly shut the window and jump into bed before I fake sleep. The door flies open with a gasp from my mother before she realised nothing happened she walks throughout my room to check for the reason of that loud noise she starts to come towards my bed and this is the hard part. I hear another thump and I smile. Knowing that Carson just saved my butt as usual. My mom mutters something and leaves my room. I wait until I hear my parents door shut before I grab my phone and turn it on and see a message.

867-5309:hey it's Shane Carson gave me your number😊

I quickly changed his phone number to a contact named Shane given that I don't know his last name

Me:I'm glad can text you now 😄

Shane: me too

Me: whatcha up to?

Shane: I'm watching Netflix with my sister Anna

Me: nice what are you two watching?

Shane: she made me start watching vampire diaries I don't know if you have seen it but as she said "Damon is SEXX-AAY"

Me: OH MY GAWD I LOVE VAMPIRE DIARIES YOUR SISTER IS SO RIGHT

Shane: I'm laughing so hard at that text I would never have thought you would like vampire diaries

Me: oh shut up it's a great show

Shane: honestly it's pretty interesting

Me: IKR

then I hear a knock at the door and in walks my mom.

"So do you like Shane"
My face scrunched up

"I'm not talking boys with you!"

"Fine fine fine" she smiles before asking happily "who are you texting?"

My face goes beet red before frowning and answering with a strong distaste "I think you know perfectly well the answer to that question" she lets out a soft laugh before leaving my room very satisfied with herself, j glance at my phone

Shane: fine you got me

Shane: you there?

Shane: hello

Shane: talk to me😩

Me: I'm back!!!

Shane: I forgot what I was going to say...

Me: wow.

Shane: 😂

I look at the clock to find that it's 1:40am and I need to get some rest for work tomorrow.

Me: I have to get to bed before work tmr

Shane: we're?

Me: Starbucks

Shane: we'll see you tomorrow

Me: what do you mean?

Shane: do you think I can go a day with my caramel frap

Wow he sounds like some teenage girl

Me: 😂😂😂you sound like a teenage girl who is obsessed with Starbucks

Shane: i guess I do

Me: lol good night

Shane: good night😊

Me: 😘

Oh my gawd that was a bad move, am I really flirting with emojis? I guess I might like him

SHANES POV

my hand hovers over the send button before accidentally pressing it.

Me:😘

"Shit shit shit" I mutter to myself before Anna looks over at my texts

"Ooooooooooh SHANES GOT A GURLFRIEND"

My mother instantly looks up from her book before lowering her glasses "you have a girlfriend that you haven't told me about?"

My face gets red before I get up from the couch

"I think I'm going to bed"

I hear Anna giggle before i leave the room and my mom lets out an audible sigh
