Chapter 1

(Night before 1st Day of School)

Jayda's POV

"Dinner's ready!", I yelled to my mom and father from the kitchen. As I place the plates on the dining table, I heard some kind of yelling heading downstairs. I peeked out from the kitchen, to see my father with a duffel bag and car keys in his hand. "Dad, where are you heading?" I asked with a concerned look on my face. He just stared at me and looked over at kitchen. "Dinner smells good baby, leave some when I come back hopefully", he said trying so hard to change the subject. "Dad! Tell me", I said looking serious. "Look honey, right now your mother and I are going through some things and she just needs some time to be alone. Okay?", he replied. "Okay daddy, love you", I spoke softly as I hugged him goodbye by the front door. "Thanks for making dinner and have a nice day tomorrow senior and I left something in your room for you", he smiled as headed to his car. "Is that father of yours gone yet?", my mother asked as she came downstairs. "Yes mother", as I followed her into the kitchen. "Oh sweetie, food looks goood!", smiled my mother. "It was dinner for 3 actually but I guess not", I said as took one plate away. We sat down and ate in silence for 15 minutes until the phone ring. "Finally! It was getting awkward" I said in my head. Mom got up and took the call, I'm guessing it was for her because she just took the phone into her room. Rude much at least say may I be excused. I take the dishes and washed the plates off. And headed back to my bedroom, where I see a note attached to six hundred dollar bills. In the note it said, "For my baby girl, hope it lasts you a week or so.            -Love Dad
I smiled so hard, he was the best dad. I washed up and put my PJ's on and like the posts you see on Instagram, I fell asleep while in bed on my phone,luckily while it was charging.
