It was mid-morning when we reached Lexington, Men were lined up muskets in hand while a man shouted.

"Stand your ground, men! Don't fire unless fired upon!  But if they mean to have a war, let it begin here!" John Parker yelled

"Pitcairn." Connor said

I looked over across the field where the morning fog was beginning to diminish.  I saw a huge army in red come to a halt.

"Yep, we're screwed." I Mumbled

"Disperse, you damned rebels.  Lay down your arms and disperse." Pitcairn's Scottish brog echoed down to us

There was silence for a moment then a single shot rang out into the morning air, Which was followed by more shots.  The Patriots  started running in every direction, some ran behind rocks and prepared to fire.

"What the deuce are you doing?! Hold your positions!"  Parker yelled "Cravens! Traitors!"

Connor pulled Parker behind a rock And we were careful to keep our heads down.

"They are not coming back.  You will have to make due with those who remain." Connor shouted over the gun fire.

"Don't you lecture me on how-" Parker looked up over the rock

All gunfire from the British had stopped.

"Return fire!  Return fire!" Parker shouted

The remaining Patriots lifted their muskets and fired.

"You need to get to Concord to warn the others." Parker told us

Show this to who ever leads there.  Should be a man by the name of James Barrett." He handed a letter to Connor

"Go on now."

Connor and I ran avoiding the gunfire, trying to keep our heads.  Connor got on a stray horse, he nearly pulled me on with him.  I pulled out my Flintlock and shot a British solider who was aiming at us.  I readied my throwing knifes, Patriot soldiers were running around frantically some were being gunned down.  I tried to save as many as I could but I only have a certain amount of knives.     We reached Concord and saw a couple of men standing talking.  We dismounted and went towards them they looked at us I recognized one of them he had been with Paul.   I looked around but Paul was not there.

"Bloods been spilled in Lexington, and there's more to come.  The Regulars are on the march." Connor explained

"You don't say? Why do you think I've men up here?" Barrett said

'Smartass.' I thought

I saw Connor give a small shrug of his shoulders but it was barley noticeable.

"Go home, 'Fore you get yourselves killed.  I've enough to worry about without some green boy and a girl in costume looking to play hero."

I was ready to kill him and Connor must've seen my expression because he put his hand on my shoulder and shook his head.

"I can vouch for them." William said

"John Parker as well." Connor held up the note.

I smiled a bit, as Barrett took the note William came up to us.

"Where's Revere?"

"Captured."

"What?!" I Said softly

"Fear not.  That man is no stranger to sticky situations." William assured "He'll be fine.  I'm sure of it."

Barrett cleared his throat and approached us.
