Shadow was ashamed of himself, he couldn't bare to stay there any longer and ran away, "Shadow!" called out both Sonic and Shade. Shadow had disappear as he wen't thru the trees. Sonic was worried of what could have happen to Shadow, he saw Shade on the floor he had one side redder than the other. Fleetway knew what he provoke and felt petty for Shadow, Mephiles saw Sonic and Jade on top of Silver the werehog he meet some time ago, "Sonic" Mephiles quickly ran to Sonic and Jade. "You know him?" asked Silver, "Yes this is Mephiles" said Sonic, "Sonic, we are so glad you and Jade are alright, nothing hurt?" asked Mephiles, "No Mephiles we are fine, but we have to go after Shadow" said Sonic. Mephiles nod, Shade actually got up and went to Fleetway, "Are you alright?" asked Shade, "Why do you care?" he asked still catching he's breath, "Because if there is one thing I know is that a werehog always helps another" said Shade, "We are from different clans" Fleetway pointed out to Shade. Fleetway was much like he's father stubborn but he always had a good side, "Even do we are that doesn't change that we all are werehogs try and remember that Fleetway" said Shade, he walked over to Mephiles, "Mephiles let's go" said Shade, "Sonic, Jade come" said Mephiles, they both clime on Mephiles , "Thank you Silver for everything" said Sonic, "No problem" said Silver giving them a big smile.

Luna was in the cave in the bottom of the water, clearly she had her potions with her. Her secret little crystal ball, "So Shadow is offensive when he's dear Sonic and Jade are attacked" said March she was looking at him thru the crystal ball. Planing her little sneaky attack, "No worried Shadow, when I take Sonic back to Jules there might be a surprise or two" she said making a evil grin, "And your sweet Sonic is my ticket to what I want!" she said. Luna switch to cheek on Jules, "Looks like grandpa is getting impatient with he's son gone, wait till you know Jules!, Wait till you know what your son is doing and I will be there to crush your soul" said Marcy as she smash the crystal ball against the rocky floor. Marcy who we all know is truly Luna, hated Jules with all her might, a shadow of something was covering her, "Uh?" she looked up some kind of red werecreature was up looking at her, "What now?" she though. Marcy swam up to check who it was and it was Knuckles the clans elder, "Knuckles what a surprise" said Marcy, "Yes what a surprise your still here" said Knuckles he didn't have a nice tone, "Well I am here because of Sonic he and I have been friends for a long time and I am worried sick" said Marcy her acting seemed convincing but not to Knuckles, "You don't have to pretend Luna, I know all about you the spirits told me about you" said Knuckles, Marcy glared at him for a moment how could he know but she wasn't going to give up so soon, "Knuckles what are you talking about, I am the one helping Sonic" she said, "No need to pretend you are they main reason they had to be separated when they were kids, why help them know?" asked Knuckles. Marcy knew her act was up and that Knuckles wasn't a fool, "You surprise me Knuckles, the only reason I am helping them now is because of the rules, Jules wouldn't be so happy when he knows he's grand son is part of both worlds" she said. Knuckles glared at the Merhog, "So your goal is to make Jules mad?" asked Knuckles, "No my goal is to receive the power that was denied to me years ago, I was suppose to be the next one to the throne, but instead they gave it to Jules grandfather" said Marcy. Knuckles realized the rage in her eyes, "Your still mad for what happened thousands of years ago?" asked Knuckles, "Yes! I won't rest till each generation suffer until I get what I want and I will" said Marcy. Knuckles just stayed silent as he saw deep rage in the eyes of Luna. Knuckles just stood up and walked away he knew that speaking with her will do nothing she was too consumed by her anger. Knuckles neither was going to tell Sonic nor Shadow not anyone but keep it a secret that only time could answer Knuckles was only hoping that time wouldn't go against him and be too late.

Mephiles and Shade were walking back to the Werehog clan hoping that Shadow would at least be there. Sonic held Shade close he was drying up quick, Sonic didn't knew if Jade can resist dry land since he was half Werehog but he didn't wanted to take many risk, "Jade is drying quick we need to hurry" said Sonic. Jade was uncomfortable and started to whimper, "What's wrong baby?" asked Sonic to Jade. Shade and Mephiles hurried more on heading back to the cave, it didn't took such a long time to head back since the cave wasn't that far, "Sonic and Jade thank goodness you two are back and safe" said Marcy, "Something is wrong with Jade" said Sonic. Mephiles quickly put Sonic and Jade back in the water, Sonic wen't under water with Jade, but something seem to happen with Jade was feeling more uncomfortable he started to whimper more. Sonic got worried, "Marcy nothing is working" said Sonic, "Let me check" Marcy put her hand on Jade's forehead, "It seems he has some kind of fever" said Marcy. Sonic felt as if he was going to cry his baby was sick he swam up to Shade and Mephiles, "Jade is sick" he said to them, Sonic keep holding onto Jade, "My baby is sick" Sonic's tears were visible now, "Relax Sonic he just sick nothing bad will happen" said Mephiles trying to calm Sonic, "That may be but Jade is still two breeds it have brought complications to him" said Shade, "We need to find Shadow and warn him quick" said Shade, "Take me with you" said Sonic, "No you need to stay here with Jade" said Shade, Sonic agree it was best to stay in water with Jade. Sonic went deeper under he curled up with Jade in he's hands, Sonic cuddle to he's little one feeling he's warm sickness. Sonic couldn't help seen Jade suffer, he's little hand was holding onto Sonic's finger. Sonic wanted to look for Shadow now, he needed to know he's son was sick but he couldn't leave the cave. Sonic just closed he's eyes keeping Jade close. Marcy was mad she knew if Jade got sick it meant a serious problem, "Stupid brat you can't die now!" she though. Jade was he main chain to her plan, and she was going to make sure the kid stay alive. Sonic felt a light touch he's eyes he opened he's eyed to see a little light come from the rocks, "Light? Is there something in the other side?" though Sonic, he grabbed Jade and got near where the light was he started to remove some rocks to see what was on the other side, Sonic looked at the little hole he made he saw that there was water on the other side. Sonic had a idea he started to remove more rocks, he hit the bigger ones with he's tail knocking it the out making a big hole, Marcy saw what Sonic had done, "Sonic what are you doing?" she asked, "This cave was connected to the ocean maybe the beach is near by I can find Shadow" said Sonic, "What makes you so sure he will be there?" asked Marcy, "Because I know him better than anyone" said Sonic he was still holding Jade he wen't off to find the beach to check if it was true that Shadow was on the beach, he was swimming for a while, Sonic then realized Jade was starting to whimper, "Ohhh baby what's wrong are you hungry?" he asked, Jade started to cry hard, "Oh my, do- don't worry mommy will find you something" said Sonic he keep swimming hoping to find the beach soon to get some milk for Jade, Sonic came into a surprise that left him with eyes widen. It was Atlantica, Sonic never it was close by the cave, he knew he couldn't be recognized there be no one not even Tails, he will have to look for some milk there. Sonic went by some sea weed and sea sponges he decided to wrap it around he's face making some king of mask, covering most of his face. Sonic sneak in with Jade, gladly he wasn't crying so hard, he came into a baby resort where Mermaids take care of kids, surly Sonic wasn't going to leave Jade there he was just going to check in the kitchen for some milk. He sneak inside while the kids were playing with the babysitters. Sonic looked in the kitchen, search in the some coral that resemble a fridge, he search in the cabin of shell but nothing, "Dang it!" Sonic wanted to fin some milk quick for Jade, "Excuse me sir?" said a little mer kid, Sonic looked at him, he was pink with like 6 tinny spikes behind he's back and he's tail was orange, with peach muzzle and tummy, he was holding a sea horse plush. Sonic didn't knew what to do, "Yes?" asked Sonic, "Why are you in our kitchen?" asked the little kid, "I'm sorry I just need some milk for my baby" said Sonic, "Well today we used it all to feed ourselves but you can have my bottle" said the little kid handing Sonic a bottle full of milk. "But it's yours" said Sonic, "No worries my mommy already feed me full last time" said the little kid, "Thank you" said Sonic he grabbed the bottle and started to feed Jade. Sonic left the baby resort Jade was already feed and was sleeping on Sonic's shoulder he's warm was going away but still felt sick the poor baby. Sonic continue to swim away to the beach now that he knew where he was. When Sonic manage to get away far away as possible he removed the sea weed showing he's face. Sonic made it to the beach, he was so relieved but there wasn't the one he was looking for, "Shadow!" he called out, but no answer, "SHADOW!" he called out louder, Sonic now realized that Shadow wasn't around, "Shadow...... Please.. *Sob*" Sonic couldn't help the fact that Shadow might have ran away and never come back to him not to he's son, "Shadow don't leave me" said Sonic, he was still wet his tears were hard to see. His cheeks were red while he cried in fear, "Shadow you can't leave now, not when I need you the most" said Sonic he sob between his words and tried to hold in the pain he was feeling. Jade was asleep hearing Sonic cry, then there was a complete silence in the beach the only thing that Sonic could hear was the waves. Sonic was upset of what had been happening, "I just wanted to tell you that what happen today was only a incident to be avoid, but no matter what? My feelings will stay the same because I love you" said Sonic his tears seem to never stop.

Mephiles and Shade were still looking for Shadow, Mephiles had been feeling guilty for what had happen to his cousin. He was not concentrating as he should, "Mephiles?" called out a very familiar voice, it was Silver, "So you are the one" said Silver, Mephiles just seemed quiet, he's narrow eyes didn't seem to help him at all. "Mephiles are you okay?" asked Silver he felt as if Mephiles was glaring at him, "Your asking me that after what your friend had done!" said Mephiles he didn't sound so friendly not happy, "Mephiles I... I'm sorry but it wasn't my fault" said Silver. "Why am I even discussing with you, your from that other clan" said Mephiles he turned away. Somehow Silver felt offended, "I was only trying to help you" said Silver, "Help me in what?" asked Mephiles glaring at Silver, Silver lowerd his ears "Help you not feel less important just because of what happen today" said Silver, Mephiles calmed down seen Silver's sad face, "Why?" he asked, "Because I care" said Silver. Mephiles went to Silver, Silver closed his eyes tight he though that Mephiles was going to attack h but no. When Silver opened he's eyes Mephiles was infront of him, he grabbed Silver's hand and planted a kiss on it. Silver cheeks turned a pinkish color, Mephiles kiss he's forehead gently. Silver never felt such tender warm kisses by anyone, he was now convinced that he had fallen in love with Mephiles. Mephiles gave him a kiss on the muzzle, "I care for you Silver and thank you for your kindness, but wouldn't your kind be against it?" asked Mephiles, "Fleetway is ashamed of what he done to Shadow, he felt bad for provoking him" explained Silver. Mephiles realized that it was all like a trap or a test, "The thing is that Shadow has ran away and hasn't return and he's son is sick" said Mephiles, "That is terrible, but where could he be?" asked Silver, "I don't know but he is nowhere to be found I just hope he is okay, and the same for Jade" said Mephiles. "I may help, but what is strange is when Shadow ran off he wen't on this direction to return to the clan" said Silver, "Yes maybe he is hiding" said Mephiles, "No Mephiles Shadow has gone to a place so he can be alone and deal out he's problems on he's own" said Silver. Mephiles understood what Silver was telling him, "I see but what about you and your clan?" asked Mephiles, "I always go out plus I'll return in a moment" said Silver with a smile.

Sonic was still on the beach, with Jade in he's arms, Jade wasn't feeling so well and it was getting dark. Sonic needed to return to the cave before it was completely dark, but for some reason Sonic's body wouldn't respond to move. Sonic needed to think fast he grabbed the see wed he used to cover himself and wrapped it around Jade to keep him warm. Jade ate some of the sea weed he seem to enjoy the taste but didn't eat it all. Sonic keep him close, and closed he's eyes, he was feeling so tired now, he wanted to sleep in he's bed of hay with Shadow keeping him warm. Sonic in his sleep hold Jade not wanting to let go, Marcy was there watching them, "Fool this is the main reason why you can't love a werehog, they will leave you and make you suffer and that is my job. But I'm glad your seen things my way" said Marcy with a grin as she watch over Sonic and Jade sleeping, "Also I hope your kid turns out rotten ........ If he can survive" she with a low evil laugh heading to he true cave near Atlantica she had many things to plan and thinks about. While she made it, she found her boyfriend Drake, "Oh hello Drake" she said to him, "Luna baby" Drake kissed her wrapping he's arms around her. "It's been months baby, so how is your plan coming up?" asked Drake, "Well better than ever, Sonic already had the baby of that werehog and now he has left leaving he's dear Sonic with a broken hear and sick son" said Luna she wrapped her arms around he's neck. Yes Drake was left alone in the lair of them both he felt abandon but why would Luna return before she finish the job, "And what are you planing to do now? Are you going to capture Sonic and he's dear son?" asked Drake, "Well not yet, I've realized I need a little more time before I take Sonic but Jules will need some information and I'm planing to give him that with a little help with Tails" said Luna, "Tails Sonic's friend?" asked Drake, "Yes the fox and you will see that everything will go well" said Luna.
