The lyrics play on the stereo in my home. I think about how they love this band so much, scrolling through Twitter.
Damn, our fans really love them.
"Wouldn't it be interesting to see how they'd react if we made a song with them?" I asked myself.
I'm alone in the house, listening to this band for the first time. Least I could say; this band is amazing. I'm glad they have had a ton of success now, and hope they continue to. I've heard about them for awhile, and barely started to get into them now.
"I wanna be known by you."
The lyrics are really deep, and some I can relate to. They're mostly about mental illnesses, which I can understand many of the songs' meanings.
"I'd wanna make a song with these dudes. But aren't they on tour right now?"
That's right, they are.
"And eventually we will be too. It's almost impossible to."

"Might as well wait."

"Hey. I'm Dan Reynolds. Love your music."
"Hey Dan. I'm Tyler Joseph," he says as we shake hands.
"I'm Josh Dun. Ni-"
"Shut up, Josh, you're out of the band."
"But Tylerrr," Josh whines. I laugh. Their friendship seems amazing.
"Hey, do you guys mind doing something before we announce the single?"
"Not at all.. What is it?"
"Our thing is to be mysterious and get fans to try and figure it out. Do you guys think you can be a part of it? We'll start that soon."
"Sounds awesome. Being mysterious is fun," Josh comments.
"Shut up, Josh, you're out of the band."

We finished recording after a few days, and say our goodbyes.
"Thank you so much for doing this. I know the fans will love it."
"No problem. Let's all hang out again soon."
"Yeah! We sh-"
"Shut up, Josh, I told you you're out of the band," Tyler interrupts.
"Why now?!"
"Because you woke up late this morning."
"I didn't think you'd notice.." he says quietly.
"I notice everything."
We laugh again. "When are you guys leaving Vegas?"
"In two days."
"Really? We should do something here before you guys go!" Platz suggests.
"Yeah, we should. How about tomorrow?"
"Sounds great!! See you guys tomorrow!"

"Bowling? Might as well, I'm a champ!! I'll kick your asses!" Ben yells as he throws the ball, hitting only 3 pins.
"Yes, Ben you're a pro. That's proof for ya.." I say.
"I was just getting started.." he replies, walking away shamefully.
"I'll show you how much better I am!"
We continue to play about 3 games, talking endlessly. Tyler and Josh are really great people, and I'm glad we got the chance to record a song with them. I'm glad we did this for our wonderful family, fans as normal people call them. I know they'll go nuts when we announce it. This is all for them, and I'm ecstatic that we did this.
