New Orleans: City Raining
|His Notebook|
Anthony Clayton
I grabbed my Notebook of the night stand on the side of my bed. Lyric and Lauren are asleep in the bedroom. I opened the notebook and grabbed the red pen of the night stand. I began to write the lyric's that flowed around in my bed for the past few days.
Nobody Knows
Nobody knows what I go through
Wish you could put yourself inside my shoes
You got friends that ain't friends no more
They don't understand the life I chose
See the money and the fame
It can hurt everything you love
Got some people that depend on me
And I can't give up
They don't know what I'm going through
They don't know what I'm going throughNobody saw the struggle they just see the reward
They focused on the peace but they never saw the war
Homies I started with ain't make it till the end
They used to be my niggas now we ain't friends
Long as I'm putting niggas on it be all good
Soon as I tell them that I can't they the first to go
I see you tryin to come around since I'm out the hood
But I see 'em being fake so I let 'em know
I had to let 'em knowNobody knows what I go through
Wish you could put yourself inside my shoes
You got friends that ain't friends no more
They don't understand the life I chose
See the money and the fame
It can hurt everything you love
Got some people that depend on me
And I can't give up
They don't know what I'm going through
They don't know what I'm going throughNow everybody run out with their hand out
Maybe 'cause I stand out, see me in the videos
Thinking that I'm cashing out
They don't see my homies with the notice on their house
They just think I'm eating so they sitting with an open mouth
Playing mac saying I should give 'em this in my amount
I remember back when I was hurting, working selling crack
Where were all these niggas at claiming they my fam
If I lost it all tomorrow I know they won't give a damnNobody knows what I go through
Wish you could put yourself inside my shoes
You got friends that ain't friends no more
They don't understand the life I chose
See the money and the fame
It can hurt everything you love
Got some people that depend on me
And I can't give up
They don't know what I'm going through
They don't know what I'm going throughNobody knows uh uh
Nobody knows uh uh
Nobody knows uh uh
Nobody knows, no no no
Nobody knowsDedicated to Lyric 💕
I closed my notebook and put it back on the night stand. I need to go visit my Grandma and see how she's doing and buy some more things for the house. I changed into a black pair of swear pants and a white t-shirt. I walked out of my bedroom and down the hall to Lyric's room. I opened the door and stepped inside a Lyric was sitting up watching television.
"Lyric I'm bout to go visit Maw-Maw and check on my momma I should be back in a few hours call me if you new anything." I said kissing her forehead
"Okay Ant please be safe." She said pecking my lips and turning her attention back towards the television.
I nodded my head at her and left out the room and made my way down the stairs. It sunny so I don't need a hoodie or anything. I grabbed my house keys off the coffee table and left out.

I walked into Anthony's room and changed his sheets and opened the window. I turned the light on and noticed a notebook sitting on his night stand. I sat down on his bed and flipped through the pages of the notebook until I came across a song Called Nobody Knows. I read over the Lyric and notice at the end of the song that Anthony had dedicated the song to me. I continued to flip through the note reading over all the different thugs Ant had wrote. I flipped to the back of the note book and noticed something fell onto the hard wooden floor.
I sat the notebook on the bed and picked up the the stuff that fell out f the note book. One of the things fell was a picture of Anthony and Melvin when they were younger. Another was a letter or note that had Melvin written in bold black letters. As much as I wanted to read the letter/note I decided against it and put everything back where I found it.
I always knew Anthony was talented but I never knew he wrote songs or other things in this notebook. I shut the light off and left out I his bedroom. I checked on Lauren before making my way down stairs and cleaning up the rest of the house.

•It was now around 5 PM, when Anthony came back. He went up stairs to his room without uttering a word. I wonder what happened when he went to check on Maw-Maw Peyton and to visit his Mother Sheila. Lauren was sound asleep in her car seat. I honestly don't feel like cooking tonight so I guess I just order Anthony & Myself some take out.

I grabbed my notebook of the night stand and began to write. My emotions where all over the place after visit my momma and check on my grandma. I can't believe she is getting worse and the sad part about it is today she didn't even know who I was. My Maw- Maw the lady who raised me as her own when my mom kicked me out didn't even remember who I was. I don't know what hurt worst we not remembering me or the fact that it a sign the she is dying more an more each day. I closed my notebook and laid back in bed letting t emotions get the best of me. I honesty didn't care how loud my cries where my Maw-Maw is my other mother and I'm losing her to cancer and it's nothing I can do.
