Chapter 10 So many truths

We started walking to meet up with the others. "Hey y'all made it!" I said. "Yeah but why did you tell us not to put our stuff on?" Adeline asked. "We are not going through the front. Look I have a secret place where I can sneak in and out of the castle come on let's go!" I said going in the direction of the trap door behind the tree. "You have a secret hide out!" Adeline said. "Sorta!" I said "please!" Adam said under his breath. "I HERD THAT!" I said giving him my death glare. He balled his fist and put his hands in his pockets and looked behind us. Guards were opening the doors. "We don't have much time. Quick get in the tunnel!" I said.

We were in my room. "Y'all get dressed in here we will be in the bathroom. Hey do one of you guys know how to do makeup and before y'all even ask no not clown makeup." I said. "I do. When I was younger I had to go to my older sisters makeup shop and there was nothing to do so I just watched her." Wow out of all the guys I didn't expect it to be Anthony. "I'll start to put my tux on y'all get ready and tell me when to come in." He said while starting to get red in the face. "Dude did you want to go stay with your sister?" Mike asked. Anthony got red in the face, "STOP MAKING FUN OF ME!" He screamed like a 4 year old. Someone was starting to come in."HIDE." I whisper-screamed. It was one of the guards with my mother right behind the guard. "I thought I heard someone in here." My mother said in a normal voice one that she never heard in her life. I am so used to hearing my mother screaming but she sounded calm. "I guess I was just hearing things!" With that she shut the door. "That was a close one." Livy said facing me. I was almost in tears. "What's wrong?" Re asked. "My mom has never... I have never heard that voice come out of my mothers mouth before. Before I ran off..." Everyone was staring at me,"she never used that voice I would always hear her yell, scream, and she was always angry!" I started crying,"and when I leave, she's in a good mood. I want to leave I don't want to do this anymore." I said falling to the floor in tears. "Hey you don't need to cry we will always be here for you and plus now that we're friends, you can sleepover at our houses!" Lucy said. "Really!" I said. "YES!" They all shouted. We did a group hug then went in the bathroom. They put on there dresses and I told Anthony to come in and gave in all the stuff he needed. "Do we have to where makeup." Livy and Re complained. "Yeah really I don't think..." I cut her off,"no you have to look like princess. Now I have to go out and get my dress on I will be back in a second." I said walking out the bathroom. Someone grabbed my arm, I turned to see Adam. "Hey I need to ask a favor." Adam said,"what do you need?" I asked. "Well you know how Im your guard right, well I don't want anyone to know right now." I guess he saw the confused look on my face because he kept talking, "look your mom is worried about you," Adam said changing the subject. "Miss Emery I don't think your mom would like this." A maid said following my sister. "Don't worry I got it covered, now just remember the plan..." My sister said stopping in front of my room, "keep my sister out of the ball." "But why." The maid said. "Because my mother is so much happier now and I want to keep it that way." My sister said. They walked away. "We need to hide you." Adam said. "Look I will be fine go change and I need to just not look like myself because my sister has never seen me in a dress or with curly hair." I said walking into my closet getting a sea green with black lace belt, and a black head band with curly hair, and sparkly silver flats. We were all ready after 3 hours of getting ready, and Anthony did an awesome job with the makeup. Everyone was ready so we headed out to the ball.
