"What do I have to do?"

"Simple!" Bill exclaimed, suddenly very pleased with what he'd done. "All you gotta do is help me get the Rift back. I'll come down with you and help you with it. We can work out all the details some other time. In the meantime, we're going body hunting."

"B-body hunting?" (Y/N) took a step back. "What do you mean by that?"

"Don't worry, Princess. I won't hurt them. They'll be perfectly fine." He floated closer to you. "Since you won't let me use yours, you'll help me find a new one."

"I don't th-"

"Relax! Clear your calendar for today, kid, because we're gonna be busy!" The glowing light returned.

"Wait, Bill!"

"Now's about the time when you wake up. We've got lots to do!"

The light faded, and Bill was gone.

Your eyes shot open at the white ceiling above you. You felt your heart beating in your chest from the encounter.

Was that really real?

You wearily got out of bed, feeling your toes touch the cold hardwood floor.

It definitely felt real.

You walked to the bathroom and took a nice cold shower to help you wake up a little more. Once dressed, you looked at yourself. Soaking wet, (h/c) hair and awake (e/c) eyes.

Your stomach growled, taking you away from our reflection. You quickly brushed your hair and then went downstairs.

Your dad went to the grocery store just as promised, so you could happily eat a nice bowl of cereal.

While you ate, you texted your friends to see if any of them were busy. To your disappointment, they all were. Wendy had to work, Lee and Nate had plans with Thompson and Robbie and Tambry were going on a date.

You sighed. Suddenly, the world around you lost its color. Every thing in it was gray. You froze with your spoon half way to your mouth.

"What the-"

"Are you almost ready, Princess? I've been waiting all day."

"Bill?" You stood. "What the hell? You can't just come down here, what if my dad sees you?"

"Don't worry. He's busy. Besides, we're in your mind! No one can see me but you."

"In my mind... How does tha-"

"I can't wait around all day, Princess. Can you help me?"

You didn't have anything else to do, you just weren't quite sure on the entire body hunting mission. Your wanted to help Bill, but you didn't want anyone to die.

"No one's gonna die!" Bill assured.

"How did you do that?"

"Let's do some people watching!" He snapped his fingers, and then he was gone. The world was back to its normal color.

^~^

"So, how does this work?" You were sat in plain sight on bench, staring at the grayscale of Gravity Falls.

It was real time, but Bill somehow managed to put something together where you could still be able to see and talk to him while being fully functional in the real world. It was just gray.

Since people could see you, you were awkwardly holding a phone to your ear so you didn't look crazy.

"Relax, princess. I just pick a body and later on I'll clone it. They won't even know!"

"But, what if they see you later on?"

"Trust me, they won't."

You still didn't understand what you had to do with this, but you didn't mind hanging out with him. Especially since everyone else was busy and your dad was already neck deep in anomalies.

"What do I do, then?"

"You help me pick a body!"

"Okay..." You gazed around the street until your eyes landed on a guy texting while he leaned against a lamp post. You'd never seen him before. "Him?"

He looked around your age, so if anyone asked, you could say he was one of your new friends. His blonde hair fell over his eyes while he looked down at the iPhone in his hands. The guy was rather tall, and he looked kinda stoic. He was dressed in all black, the only other color coming from the white of his converse. He gave off this kind of mysterious vibe, and you regretted pointing it out to Bill the more you observed him.

"Nice pick, kid!"

"Wait-"

"Be right back!"

The world slowly regained its colors as the boy walked inside the shop. You watched the doors uneasily, wondering how Bill was supposed to clone the boy in plain sight.

Not even a minute later, the boy came staggering back. He was walking strangely and had an abnormal smile on his face. Soon, he was standing in front of you.

You knew immediately that Bill somehow managed to pull it off. Now that the guy was closer, you realized how attractive he really was. He was at least a foot taller than you and had brilliant blonde hair. There was just one thing. You assumed Bill didn't mean for this to happen, but his eyes were glowing. They were gold, and his pupils were long like a cats.

"Bill?"

"Oh, man!" He exclaimed, observing his hands. "It's been so long since I've inhabited a body!"

People glanced over at the two of you.

"You can't say things like that!" You told him. "Bill, we're in public!"

He looked at you, smiling big. "This is great!"

"We really need to do something about your eyes."

"Relax, Princess. We have more important things to do."

"Right. You're definitely right." You eyed the unsettling outfit. "We need to get you a change of clothes."

"What?"

"I don't suppose you have money, do you?"

Bill reluctantly reached into his pockets and pulled out a wallet and gave it to you.

You opened it. "There's like a hundred dollars cash in here! And a credit card. Did you steal it?"

"No."

"So, when you clone someone, you get what they have, too?"

"Wait, kid. Don't you think we should get the Rift first?"

"No, Zachary." You said, looking at the boy's license. "We can't just show up looking exactly like this guy. It's okay, we have plenty of time. And a car."

Bill looked like he was going to protest but then, stopped.

"Besides, we have to fix your eye situation, too. And wouldn't you like so spend more time as a human, anyway?" You looked up at him with an innocent smile.

"Sure, kid, you're right!"

"All right then, Bill. We've got lots to do."
