She stood in a field of roses, firmly clutching her sword in one hand while the other trembled with fear, fear of what lay before her. It almost looked inhuman almost immortal. The wind blew gently into her face causing silky black strands of hair to flap against it, giving her several goose bumps on her porcelain skin. her dark green eyes seemed to reflect the untrimmed grass which looked like they have not been cut for centuries, was now swaying to the silent melody of the wind. Full lips almost the same color of the roses that lay in their beds silently they sent a waft of sweet scent which filled the air around her.

It was still dark camouflaging how her felt to the outside world; tired and worn out after the battle, if you looked closely enough you could see the sun gliding across it’s horizon announcing the day has endedthe moon peeked from somewhere behind a cloud as if playing hide and seek with the sun. As it took its place in the night sky, the sky looked wider and clearer like a dark strip of velvet spread across a table with diamond sparkles threaded on them. Huge black clouds the size of a bear glided across the night sky slowly as it were to let a few cloud turtles to clear traffic, the temperature dropped a couple of degrees welcoming the cool night wind, it almost seemed to sing to the grass which swayed more gently than before.

Lexis looked down at her hands and compared them to the silence of a single leaf slowly descending from a branch as it made its way to the ground, then down at her feet; she wore black and red running trainers on her feet. For a while she stood there wearing three quarter black jeans and a black tank top showing of her symbol which was morphed into a pin tag; a green and black striped body of a cat with no legs but a devilish smile and jet black whiskers on either side, the body of the cat looked like two ovals laid on their side overlapping one another, was tagged on her black and red half jacket. A group of early birds sang an unrecognizable tune of four chords somewhere in the trees above me as a flock of birds took flight for the day. Tiny little baby bunnies hopped around helplessly like a child learning to walk, not noticing the weather and the sickening sight in front of them.

As she tried to take in the scene one last time knowing she’s never been here and will never come back, something brushed against her bare legs, which were slightly parted to support her slender, now arched back; looking down at it for the first time she realized just how cute and fluffy. She bent down and picked it up. Leaves rustled from her left side.

“Hello. Lex, how are you?” said a voice from somewhere behind a tree. It was a deep voice, too deep to belong to a girl, perhaps a boy but with an edge. He stepped forward, it took lexis a couple of minutes to work out who it was, a figure stood there, tall and lean, a quarter of his face was shadowed behind the shadow of a tree, but the other was in the light of the brilliant moon which’s made its way to the center of the sky directly above his head, he had a handsome face his cheek bones rising quite high above them he had brown hair that fell perfectly on his shoulders, and eyes that looked like stars that sparkle at night but as dangerous as the samurai sword he carried across his arched shoulders, they seemed to give nothing away, not how he felt or how tired he was, just below them were his They were as blue as the ocean which crashed against the shore below their feet. He wore long combat trousers the color of khaki, and a blue shirt one sleeve rolled up to show the scar on his forearm he received in a battle.

He stepped forward a little and leaned against the trees huge sloping trunk, it took her a couple of minutes to register his face his lips looked as soft as silk, they curling into a smile. The kind of smile that always took her breath away. It was enough to chuck her of the edge of the hill which she used as a base and taking out those who wanted her dead since her birth. She would kill them just like the one that lay at her feet. He looked familiar… Adam. What was he doing here? Endless questions with endless answers rushed through her mind, the sight of him made her heart ache for his closeness; she resisted the thought of running to him to feel his strong but soft arms around her. She yearned for him, his absence was like torture, but she new she should keep her ground, because if they became close it would only mean heart break. Only now did she realize she was looking at someone who resembled him closely more than any one. Luke. The sight of him gave her a complete opposite feeling towards him than Adam did.

“What do you want?” She said, standing in a fighting stance almost beckoning him to come forward. Talking directly to him, before he could answer her, another figure stepped behind him and stood between Luke and the lake, he was about the same height the muscles in her body tensed ready to lash out at anyone who dared enter her place.

“How are you?” he repeated with laughter in his voice

“Since when did you care?” she said with suspicion in her voice, a smile crept along her lips “how’s your arm”. She laughed. He laughed with her, tipping his head up just like Adam always did laughter so dry, it sounded like grinding sandpaper had escaped his lips. He lifted his arm up so that she could see and the moon reflected his scar showing it more clearly.

“Never get’s better, though it still stings” he replied

“What are you doing here? You know you can’t just violate the rules and come in my territory?” she said, sounding serious.

“Who said I was violating anything? No one but you, besides I came here to hunt” he said.

“Right, it almost seems you never learn your lessons when it comes to hunting, suppose our last encounter was just a warm up.” She replied. “If you don’t clear this path for me in the next minute then consider yourselves hunted. Cause tonight you’re hunting no one”.

“Oh yes we are, and you lexis brown is the winning prize” Kane said, it startled her because she almost forgot he was still standing there, now he moved out from the shadow of the tree a little more, stepping further than Luke so he was face to face with Lexis only ten meters away. He had sandy brown hair, his eyes were green almost snake-like and beautiful they were as restless as Adams. He was athletically built, his nose flared up and down as he breathed. He wore washed jeans and black t-shirt with both sleeves rolled up. His torso bulged out they looked so toned and strong enough to pick someone her weight meters into the air. “And let me tell you, we ain’t going anywhere empty handed at least not without a fight!” he flared. Lexis was not happy to see him at all

“So you’re ready to fight a girl in the middle of nowhere just right after a battle, that if I recall correctly you have lost… hmm?” Diana’s voice came from behind lexis. Now this girl she was happy to see…
