Think about your life.
Really think about it. You take most things for granted, don't you? I bet you do. So did I, once. I took the normal things for granted. My family, my house, the food I ate.
Yet I took even the most normal things for granted, barely acknowledging that they were there. Safety, for instance. Never once had my family been robbed. Never had we been threatened in any way. I was safe and unharmed, and I thought I'd never be hurt intentionally by someone else.
Then came the day when that all changed forever.
