Crookedstar and his brother Oakheart we're born in an Oak Tree during a great storm. Their mother named them Stormkit and Oakkit. After Stormkit slips and falls on the stepping stones he breaks his jaw. His mother then tells Hailstar, the current RiverClan leader to change his name to Crookedkit.
