The first week of school went by alright. But I was happy it was the weekend now.
Lydia had decided to throw a party tonight. Of course. Lydia was the party Queen of Beacon Hills and I as her cousin had to attend. I was currently helping Lydia prepare all the drinks in return for her helping me out with my outfit and styling. I didn't have a bad fashion sense, hers was simply better."Okay, I think we are done. And just so you know I'll be introducing you to a couple of guys." With that she turned around and left the living room to open the door for the first guests. The first people to arrive were usually either your best friends or people who were going to a party, or to Lydia's party, for the first time. "Come in, come in make yourself at home, but not too much please! Drinks are in the kitchen and snacks in the living room! Claire come here!" She motioned me to join her so I did. Let's get this over with.
"Claire, this is Isaac, he's on the lacrosse team." Lydia pointed at the blue eyed boy in front of me. He was cute but the smirk on his face didn't make him seem very nice. But I'm not really one for prejudices. "Isaac this is my beautiful cousin Claire, I'm sure you two'll get along." She smiled and was gone within a second, I chuckled. That's Lydia for you everybody."Hi, sorry about that. She's desperate for me to find friends, she's probably already annoyed with me. You don't have to talk to me." I said to Isaac to make sure he didn't just talk to me because he felt the need to.
"Don't worry about it. I would've probably introduced myself anyways." His smirk turned into a genuine smile and now I was glad that I didn't ran away from his smirk. He handed me a cup of Coke that I gladly accepted.
"Really? Why is that?" It couldn't hurt to flirt a bit right?
"Well, I wouldn't let the opportunity to talk to a beautiful girl just go." His words made me blush, I didn't think he'd be that straight forward. Now I didn't know what to say. But I didn't have to. We heard shouting from the other end of the room, and sure enough Stiles and Malia were about to rip their heads off. Wow I figured they'd rather be sucking their faces off again. I didn't hear what the argument was about, but both seemed furious. Way to kill the mood of the whole party. Everyone was now staring at them.
"Fine!" Stiles screamed at Malia whose eyes were wild.
"Fine!" she shouted back turning around and stomping away. Stiles slammed his hand into the wall next to him his face scrunching up in pain. A few seconds later he came over to Isaac, his face red from anger.
"Man, you okay bro?" Isaac asked Stiles a bit concerned.
"I think... I think we just broke up." Stiles lips turned into a thin line.
"Did she finally notice what an asshole you are?" I asked raising my left eyebrow. Stiles eyes snapped up at me.
"Stop it."
"What? I'm just stating the tru-"
"SHUT UP!" He was downright yelling at me.
"Don't talk to me like this." I hissed nobody yells at me to shut up.
"But you can? You can call me all the names you want huh?! I'll tell you something now." He stepped closer to me in an attempt to intimidate me, but it didn't really work to be honest. "I won't let someone like you tell me what to do!" His arrogance was getting on my nerves and with one swift motion the content of the plastic cup was emptied onto Stiles face. My actions seemed to wind him up even more, I could almost see the smoke coming from of his ears. Serves him right, someone like me? What was that even supposed to mean?
"Can you two make out already? I can literally smell the sexual tension between you two." Isaac spoke up causing both mine and Stiles heads to snap into his direction breaking off the stare down we've had up until now.
