How I Won Your Heart

Chapter 2: I Saw Her Standing There

As we arrived at the Cavern it was more crowded then ever.  I wasn't a big fan of crowds but I wasn't going to let it bother me on my birthday.  As we walked in we heard music playing and it wasn't like anything I had heard before. I just had to get up front and see who was playing. It was very hot and humid inside the club and it was almost impossible to get through all of the people, but eventually we made our way upfront. There on stage, was four men dressed in leather from head to toe, they called themselves The Beatles. I had never seen anything like it. It seemed like something in a movie. They were the most attractive men I had ever seen. Sarah and I looked at each other and we knew what each other was thinking.

    Gosh, these guys are good and not to mention gorgeous.

    I couldn't believe my own eyes as the one man that was singing looked straight at me and winked. I almost had to pinch myself to know that this was really happening. He had such beautiful long brown mop-top like hair and he was up there singing his heart out. There was nothing more attractive than that! I always found it very appealing when a guy would know what he wanted to do in life and just go get it; and this guy definitely appeared that way. I just had to find out who he was!

    Throughout the whole night, he kept his eyes on me. Every one in awhile he would show me a smile or a wink and my heart just fluttered.I couldn't believe this was happening. Why would a guy like him show any interest in me? I wasn't worth anything and surely I wasn't the prettiest girl in the Cavern that day.

"You realize that guy up there has been staring at you this whole time, right?" Sarah said.

"You think I didn't realize? He is so good looking! I have to find out who he is!" I exclaimed.

"He keeps winking and smiling at you! I think he fancies you!"

"Really now? He must think I'm ugly that's why he keeps winking."I said sarcastically.

"Hey it's not everyday some guy who looks like he was sent from heaven, winks at you!"

"Yeah, but he probably is just bored and can't find anything better to do" I said.

    It was the last song of the night and the time was about midnight. I was pretty tired but I was still determined to figure out who this man was. Throughout their last song he was still glancing at me, but he seemed less interested in me than he was before. I hoped that wasn't the case but I couldn't be sure.

    The song ended and he looked at me and he motioned for me to meet him over by the side of the stage.

    "Oh my gosh Sarah, he wants me to meet him over there!" I exclaimed.

    "Well what are you still doing here then, go!" Sarah yelled.

    It took me a while to get over there because there was so many people. I was sweating like a pig because it was so hot and I hoped he wouldn't mind. I made my way to the side of the stage and there he was looking very handsome. He was very sweaty also and his face was shining with sweat. Normally I would not find this very attractive,but for some reason he looked very attractive like this.

" Hey darling, what brings a fine bird like you here tonight?" He said.

"It's my 21st birthday and I am here with my friend Sarah." I stated.

"Well, I have never seen someone as beautiful as you, by the way my name is John."

"Nice to meet you John, my name is Anette."

"That is a very nice name! You don't hear that one very often!"John said.

"Well, thank you John." I smiled and tried to hide my face because I was blushing terribly.

"Say, why don't you come back here tomorrow? We are playing again and I would love for you to meet the rest of the band. And of course I would love to see you again."

"Ok, will do! I will see you tomorrow John and then you can meet Sarah also!"

"Ok, darling!"

As I was about to walk away, he took my hand and placed a kiss on it.I was blushing horribly and I was trying not to show it. We both smiled at each other and then I went back over to Sarah and I couldn't wait to tell her what happened.
