"Humans are petrified. The plan is working your majesty."

"Excellent, Tiluk. Excellent. The time has come for the Xemlix to rule the universe. We have lost the ancient war and we have been closed in this underworld of a dimension but neither the Humans nor the Lapo are expecting our triumph. Excellent. Excellent.

How much fear are we generating?"

"About 20 units. At 50 units the portal to earth will open wide enough for the whole kingdom to go through."

"Very good, Tiluk. What is the status of our terror team?"

"They are working on how to increase the number of abductions. We are currently within the 20-30 range."

"Get that number to 100, I want humans weak and submissive and I want the Lapo to know we mean business."

"Yes, your majesty."

Tiluk went right to work. It was a great honor to be his majesty's Slith's right hand. He felt great respect for him but also great fear. One false move and Slith would dispose of him just like he did with the advisor before him and all the ones before. The benefit of this position was that most of the Xemlix were petrified of him. That made his service to Slith worth his while. Since the day he entered manhood he was trained for this position, as were thousands of others but he was the one who passed all the tests and was chosen by Slith. It was both a blessing and a curse. Sometimes he wished he had a relatively uncomplicated life like the ones who were at his mercy. All they had to do was follow his orders. He was the one who had to devise all kinds of plans to show both Humans and the Lapo that things were about to change.

Tiluk's number one priority was to generate as much fear on earth as possible. Human fear was the most important ingredient in the Xemlix alchemy. But generating fear isn't as simple as it sounds. Humans, even though devoid of Xemlix super powers became attentive and smart in the last centuries. And to make matters worse, the Lapo were interfering with their plans - trying to induce as much earthly love as possible.

The Xemlix fear team consisted of six individuals so devoid of any emotions that they would easily feed the local magic lions with their mothers. But then again, they were raised this way. Separated from their parents at birth, they were taught not to feel and to only think - think how to petrify humankind.

"Commander Tiluk, " they acknowledged him as he entered the command center.

"We need to increase abductions to 100 a day."

"Yes sir!"

"What other projects are you working on?"

"We are devising plans to frighten humans via their mass media. We are working on subliminal messages we want to inject in their tv, radio and newspapers."

"Carry on," said Tiluk without showing any sign of content or appreciation. He didn't even know what those words meant.

Meanwhile on Earth...

"Chocalate or vanilla?" the wedding planner asked.

"Chocolate," Ava & Barry both replied.

Ava met Barry at Charleroi airport in Brussels. He was sitting two tables beside her sipping a glass of what looked like exquisite wine. She noticed his perfectly fitted suit, blue eyes and daring smile. She was finishing off a powerpoint presentation when the waitress brought her a chocolate delight she didn't order. She said it would go well with the wine. Ava said she didn't order any wine. The waitress said it would go well with the gentleman's wine. That's how it started.
