____________Your POV_____________
It was late, as you went to your room.
'I wonder what's going to happen now?' You think, as you opened your door, but as you opened it, you saw a small light brown pouch on your bed.
"Eh? What's this?" You ask yourself, as you walked up to it.
You looked around the room, trying to decipher whether or not you should open it.
Unfortunately, curiousity got the better of you.
You opened the small pouch, and dumped whatever was in it, into your hand.
Your eyes widen, as you stared at the necklace that you saw earlier today, while you were shopping with Levi.
You smiled widely, as you dashed out of your room, and soon enough. You were in front of Levi's office/room, as you knocked on it.
You heard a gruff, 'come in', and quickly, yet very quietly, you opened the door, and closed it, as you dashed up to Levi and hugged him.
"Thank you!" You yelled, as your grip on him tightened.
He seemed shocked by your actions, and could feel him stiffen in your hold.
You pull back a bit, as you gave him a wide smile.
Levi's eyes widen a bit, before turning his head to the side, as he said, "Tch, I have no idea what your talking about, brat."
You laugh, as you said, "Okay, then explain how I got the necklace I was looking at, when it was only you and I at the market." You said, with a devious smile, as Levi tenses up.
"S-Shut up." Levi stuttered.
"The great Levi, stuttering in embarrassment, how adorable." You say, as you let go of him.
Levi clicked his tounge, as he refused to look at you.
You held up the necklace, as it shined in the glowing candlelight.
"Thank you, Levi." You said sincerely.
This must've caught him off guard, because he snapped his gaze to you.
"For what, its just some stupid necklace." He mutters.
You smile, as you shake your head, 'no'.
"No, it means a lot more to me, because this is the first gift I've ever got from anyone, besides aniki." You say softly, still smiling.
"Whatever, just get to bed already, we have to get ready for training in the morning." He says, returning his gaze to the paperwork in front of him.
"I should say the same to you." You mutter, as you walk up to his desk.
"Tch, what are you doing?" Levi asks, as you sit in the chair, across his desk.
"Helping." You say, as you pick up half of the stack of papers Levi was working on.
"Tch, you don't have to, so get to bed." Levi says sternly.
"True, I don't have to, but I want to." You say, as you begin to help Levi.
Levi didn't protest as you began to scribble things down, or begin to organize them, instead, he just stared at you for a few moments, before he worked on his own stacks of paper.
After a few hours went by, you nearly had the stack done, but unfortunately for you, you were ready to pass out from exhaustion.
'Just a little more.' You chant in your head.
'Just a little more, just a little more, just...a.......little.........more.' That was when your thoughts got caught off when you let your eyelids close, finally allowing you to sleep.
____________Levi's POV____________
As I was working, I heard soft snoring coming from across from me. I looked up, and saw that (F/N) was sleeping, the quill clutched tightly in one hand, while the other held tightly to the necklace that I got for her.
"Tch, damn brat. Working until you fell asleep, how much more irresponsible can you be?" I grumbled, as I stood up, and walked around the desk, so that I was standing beside her.
I grab the necklace, and put it around her neck, before gently lifting her up bridal style.
'She's so light, almost like a feather.' I think, as I walk towards my bedroom, which is connected to my office.
I gently laid her down on the bed, and covered her with the blankets.
But, before I could leave to finish the rest of the paperwork, I felt something tug at the sleeve of my shirt.
I look down, and saw that (F/N) was half awake.
"What is it, brat?" I ask, but not as harshly as usual.
"You know, Levi-" She began, her voice quiet, from only being half awake.
"All the hardest, coldest people you meet were once as soft as water, and that's the tragedy of living. So, I want to say, is that, just like how aniki is there for me. I wanna be there for you." She mumbles quietly, almost too quiet for me to hear, but I still manage to catch every word.
As I went to say something, I once more, hear the soft snoring of (F/N).
I sigh, as I run a hand through my hair.
"You really are one odd person, you know that?" I ask no one, as I walk back to my office, the words she just said, repeating in my head.
------------Small Time Skip--------------
After I was done with my paperwork, I made my way back to my bedroom. I grabbed my night clothes, and changed in my bathroom.
I went back out, and saw that (F/N) was curled up in a small ball.
She looked innocent, sleeping like that, despite the hard life she led, not to mention the stress of having abilities, and having to watch people die in the Survey Corps, on top of it all. It's surprising really, how this small, fragile looking girl, hasn't snapped under it all.
'She really is an amazing person.' I think, as I lay down, so that we were back to back.
After a few more minutes, I finally allow sleep to take over me, and for once in my stress filled life. I finally had a peaceful sleep.
