Omfg I felt sorta lame writing this but who cares. Vaughn is adorable and freaking amazing.

Goddamn.
The coffee was starting to give out, and the later it got the more tired you became. Hyperion needed the document and you were just about done. A few typos here and there to be fixed, multiple grammatical errors corrected, one more paragraph. And...
Done. Yes! You happily sent the file and flew back in your rolling chair. Oh my god, your eyes finally got a break and your muscles got to relax. Geez. To be honest, when Jack had died you expected it to be less work. But there were still assholes demanding around, trying to steal the throne. Like that old Earth show.
You jumped back onto the computer, not for work of course not, but to see who else was zombie-ing around. Some people were still clocked in, and others went home. Lucky.
Tammy.
Yvette.
Cody.
Mr. Blake? Wow! You expected him to really be gone, especially the shit Jack put him through.
Simon.
Vaughn. You stood from your seat, stretched out your aching muscles, and dragged your feet to his office. You didn't bother knocking, knowing the doors would slid open automatically. And there he was, typing away, his eyelids drooping and the blue screen, looking as if he'd pass out any minute. He didn't seem to pay any attention to you whatsoever and continued to focus on work.
You glossed your way over, grabbing a chair and setting beside him, only watching. Damn. Numbers, numbers, and more numbers. You could never be a mathematical genius or whatever. Not to mention this work was due in like....a week. Why the hell was he doing this now?
"Vaughn." You groaned.
"Hm?" He groaned back.
"This is due in a week and you're working like it's due in three hours... Why?"
"Just want to get this done so I can get a sorta mini break..." He trailed off, eyes red and wanting a break.
"Clock out and do the rest tomorrow." You grabbed onto his shoulder.
"I'm going to. Hold on."
"Vaaauuughn." You groaned, shaking his shoulders. "Vaaaaauuuugghn. C'mon. I'll treat you to breakfast and lunch!"
You wouldn't stop bothering him and he lost his focus.
"Okay! Okay." He gave in, saved his work.
You both walked the halls to an elevator going up to the rented apartments. "Not to mention you're in trouble." You told him.
"What? What-"
"You promised me a date today and you didn't take me." You both began to your apartment.
"Aw man, I'm sorry-" he face palmed himself.
"Its fine. Hyperion has been hard on me too. Its understandable." You swiped your key card and you both finally entered. It was warm and the bed in the next room was just calling your name. Ohh my gosh, and a shower.
"I promise to take you out- what are you doing?" He asked, barley even caring, just like you, not even caring a undressing as you walked.
"I need a shower and sleep."
"Heh. Same."
After you both had a good shower and a small snack, you both happily and finally relaxed in bed.
"But let's...not ignore..." He started, kept trailing off. "You forgot my birthday today."
"Well my head hurts....so... We're even."
He laughed and you both fell asleep.
