I sat down on the ground to catch my breath. I leaned up against a tree and ok a deep breath. I was extremely tired. At some point I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
I woke up on the ground with he wind howling in the background. I sat up and looked around remembering where I was. The sound of leaves crunching gabbed my attention. I stood up getting ready to run. "It's ok daddy, it's just me." I heard a voice in the background say. I took off running. I tripped over a tree root and fell to the ground. My daughter was standing in front of me, or at least one of them. "I wanted ice cream daddy. But guess what, I didn't get any ice cream. And that makes me mad!" She said forcefully. I sat on the ground looking into her eyes. They were empty, there was no life behind those eyes. No life inside.
