Five months into the pregnancy she's still getting used to the fact of how much bigger she is at twenty weeks then she was with Max at that time. The Careins first thought it was twins but later found that they are welcoming a little girl into the world. They are both ecstatic along with both of their families. Things are going okay with the two, but they know that Lori is back in town and back for good. It makes Palmer a bit uneasy, but she doesn't say anything because she doesn't care about Lori. Palmer hasn't asked Jason to avoid her but secretly glad that Jason does it anyway. Along with the help of Kristin again, they are getting their unborn daughter's room painted and fixed. The girls spend a lot of time together shopping for items and gathering painting supplies, etc.
"I might regret this having a girl thing," Jason smiles, rolling a salmon color on the wall, in an old pair of sweats and a white t-shirt.
"Why's that?" Palmer smiles.
"Because I'm gonna be the dad that sits outside with a shotgun waiting for her to come home from her date."
"I knew you would turn into a mental weirdo if you had a girl," Kristin smiles, painting cheetah print spots on another wall.
"You know girls it's looking good in here," standing up and admiring the work so far.
"Thanks," Kristin winks from the ladder.
Palmer winks at Jason before walking out and downstairs to get something to drink.
"Hey J, I've meant to tell you, Lori called here looking for you. She knows where you work and has your cell number. She just called here yesterday while you were at work to rattle Palmer. I would tell Lori to stop if I were you. Palmer's pregnant, and she shouldn't have to deal with so much stress and Lori...well she's just ridiculous trying to bother a woman whose husband clearly doesn't like her."
"Okay," Jason sighs scratching the back of his neck.
"If you won't tell her to back off I think Palmer might soon."
"Kristin I got it okay?" snapping at her.
"Alright, Jesus no need to shoot the messenger," Kristin sighs going back to painting.
"Wow, what's up? It's tense in here," Palmer says.
"It's nothing. Should you even be in here with the paint fumes?" Jason asks concerned.
"I'm okay, the windows have been open all day. Do you like what I've picked out?"
"Yeah, I actually like the color scheme. A lot better than Max's," he winks at her.
"I wish you were here to pick out some of it with me though. You're missing out."
"You do a great job by yourself trust me," winking at her. "But I'm gonna take a break and make a few work calls."
Later that evening, after getting Max to fall asleep after transitioning him from Palmer and Jason's bed to his own he walks back into the bedroom.
"We need to break that habit."
"Why? I love having him in our bed," Palmer smiles.
"Well, I'm not having sixteen-year-old Max still sleeping in mommy and daddy's bed."
"I'll be glad if he even comes home at a decent hour when he's sixteen, let alone sleep in our beds."
"I'm just saying we need to break that."
"The baby is kicking so much tonight," Palmer smiles, changing the subject.
"I still can't believe we are having a girl," softly kissing Palmer's forehead.
"Why? Are you worried?"
"Slightly."
"Why babe?"
"I am. I don't worry as much about Max that I will her."
"I already worry about both equally, and one of them hasn't even been born yet."
"Go to sleep," Jason smiles, closing his eyes.
