-Louisa's POV-
"Tell me everything about the dinner!" Mia begged.
I laughed and grinned, "The mansion was huge; it was so awesome. His parents were cool." Mia scoffed. "Anything more interesting? I'm falling asleep here!" I rolled my eyes, "His younger brother, Valentino, apparently, has cancer and.." Mia turned sober, "Oh my goodness! Is Jeremiah okay?" I gave her a little shook and replied, hugging my pillow tight, "No, that much is clear."
It was the weekend before our Chemistry tests and Mia was swore she needed my help. Hence, the sleepover we're having in my house. Mia scribbled something on the book we were studying earlier as I dug my spoon into the melting ice cream. "At least he'll have a shoulder to cry on." I laughed, "Yea, for only another 3 months now."
Mia shrugged and suggested, "Maybe it'll be more than that? Maybe you guys will end up liking each other for real?" I kept my silence as I dug into the carton for another scoop. Mia looked closely to me, "Do you like Jeremiah?" "He wouldn't be my boyfriend if I didn't." Mia shook her head impatiently and grabbed the spoon, forcing me to pay attention to her, "No! I did not mean that. I meant, do you like him."
I gave her a shrug as I tried to grab my spoon back, "Why would I like him? He's the school's most notorious player." Mia grinned with triumph as she exclaimed, "Ah ha! The great and mighty Louisa Delaney will always give a clear answer. But right now, sweetie, your answer's as clear as mud."
I threw my pillow at her and said, "Let's get back to Chemistry."
Mia laughed as she said, "Ah, but I want to talk about your Jeremisa chemistry." I groaned as I managed to finally grabbed my spoon back, "Ugh! That's a terrible ship name." Mia scoffed, "No, that's not and you know it."
I sighed, "Whatever."

Chemistry test was fairly easy.
But from the dark looks Jeremiah was having, I'm guessing he did not think so. I tried to suppress a giggle from escaping as I glanced over at his face again.
He glanced at my blotched up face of trying to suppress my laughter and replied, rolling his eyes, "Give it up. I know you're trying to laugh." I allow my laughter to escape and he reluctantly grin at my expression.
"Penelope made me white chocolate cake. Wanna eat some?"
My eyes widen at the thought of white chocolate cake: my favorite type of chocolate. "Oh, wow, can I?" He grinned at me and casually slung his arm over my shoulder, "I know you want one; a kiss for a piece?"
I rolled my eyes and gave him a peck on his cheek, my heart quickening its pace at the thought of kissing him, even though it's just his cheek. As I pressed my lips on his cheek, he shifted his face quickly so that my lips touched his instead.
I felt the spark of something again. Is it true what Mia had said; do I like Jeremiah? He made me laugh and always makes me smile at how lame he sometimes is. And despite his player ways, he always managed to make me feel so...loved.
But he is just keeping his part of the deal; and conveniently making Cade stay away.
How can he possibly like me anyway?
His expression was dazed as he drew away from me. I grinned slyly and said, "That's two pieces, lover boy."
He shook his head and tapped his lips again, raising his eyebrows, "I heard three's the charm."
I rolled my eyes and smacked his arm, hard.
"Okay, princess. You get 2."
I smiled contentedly and licked my lips in anticipation at the thought of tasting white chocolate cake.
Oh yes, I do feel like a princess right this moment.
