: Homicide Detective Yousuke Kobayashi, who unknowingly suffers from multiple personality disorder, has chased a man called 'Shimazu' to the top of a building. Shimazu had previously kidnapped Det. Kobayashi's girlfriend, called Chizuko, cut off her arms and legs, and sent her barely living torso in a cooler to his place of business. With Shimazu now cornered, Kobayashi begins a rather taboo interrogation.
*NOTE: Shimazu's sudden changes in demeanor are intended to indicate his insanity

[CURTAINS OPEN]
Kobayashi : [yelling]
Why did you do that to Chizuko?! She had nothing to do with you!
Shimazu: [chuckles]
It has everything to do with you, doesn't it? She was your woman!
[chuckles]
[moment of silence, Kobayashi angrily stares at Shimazu]
Shimazu: [sighs, lights cigarette]
Because..
you are just like me.
[Kobayashi stands, his stare of anger twists into confusion, while Shimazu speaks casually and calmly]
Shimazu: A while ago, you briefly appeared on TV, yes? When I saw it.. I knew, he was the same type of human being as me.
[looks into the sky briefly, then looks back at an interested, but still confused Kobayashi]
That you are one of us!
[smokes]
So I did a bit of research..
[Shimazu suddenly goes from casual and calm to wild-eyed and excited]
You! You have the face of a Saint and a cop! A psychopath like me who likes to kill people! Ha! But then.. I got really angry for some reason! I wanted to rip apart your cover of normalcy! You are...
[Shimazu pauses when Kobayashi reaches for his gun]
Shimazu: See?!! See?! Seeee??!!
How was my present?
[laughing] The one I made out of your girlfriend?!
I had soo much fun making that. Dopamine and endorphins to the max! How insane!
[laughs/chuckles]
[Kobayashi pulls out his gun on Shimazu]
Kobayashi: [yelling] Shimazu!!
[Shimazu immediately stops laughing, and is bewitched at this sight, like a curious child]
Shimazu: That's it! [pause] That's good!
You- ARE- that kind of a person! If you are annoyed then just kill, if you want something, just steal...
[Shimazu returns to being calm and casual]
Shimazu: By the way, is she doing well? [puts out cigarette] I soaked her in a mixture of formalin and poly-ethylene glycol, basically like a gelatin energy drink.
[Kobayashi holds his hand over his mouth, as though he may vomit,
Shimazu: [casually] No? Did it die?
[Shimazu looks at him blankly for a moment, before becoming hysterical once again]
Shimazu: I see! You killed her! You switched of the life support system! I kept her alive, but you killed her! [laughs heartily]
[Yousuke Kobayashi switches personalities to Shinji Nishizono while Shimazu is speaking. This is unknown to both Shimazu and the audience, until Shimazu's laughter is interrupted by a shot to the leg, fired by Shinji Nishizono. Shimazu falls to the ground, and holds his leg, then looks up at Shinji Nishizono]
Shinji Nishizono: Man! Rambling on like that!
Your laughter gets on my nerves!
Shimazu: [smiles] Are you.. Yousuke Kobayashi?
Shinji Nishizono: [smiles] Maybe?
[There is a pause as another personality is speaking inside of Shinji's head, but neither Shimazu nor the audience can hear this]
Shinji Nishizono: [yelling] Shut up, Amamiya! It's me right now, Shinji Nishizono!
Shimazu: I get it! [pause] You're one of us, right?! There are several of you, inside of one person! Right?!
[Shinji Nishizono shoots Shimazu in the forehead, killing him instantly]
Shinji Nishizono: Didn't I tell you that you get on my nerves?
[Two detectives come running towards Shinji, calling Kobayashi's name]
Shinji Nishizono: [to Amamiya] Okay then, Kazuhiko, I'll leave this up to you.
Detective #1: Kobayashi, are you alright?
Detective #2: We heard gun shots!
[Detectives #1 & #2 see Shimazu's corpse with a bullet wound through the forehead]
Detective #2: Kobayashi.. you killed him?!
[While the Detectives #1 & #2 are speaking,
Shinji Nishizono has switched personalities to Kazuhiko Amamiya]
Amamiya: [nervous] Yousuke Kobayashi- just- died..
[Detectives #1 & #2 look at each other, confused and utterly bewildered]
Amamiya: I am.. Kazuhiko Amamiya.
[CURTAINS CLOSE]
