"Good morning, Jungkookie!" V stomped down the stairs to the basement joyfully after unlocking the door, his footfalls echoing throughout the cold room. I was tempted to dash up the stairs, push him aside, and run for my freedom, but I knew better than that. If this basement, which was bigger than the dorms, was just the basement, I knew that I'd have no chance running through the house, especially if it was V's. Not only would it be too big and confusing for me to find a direct way out, but there were probably traps and snares hidden at every corner that he could activate with a simple snap of his fingers.

I rose from the metallic bed that V had placed in the corner of the main room in the basement. Since he had locked the door, he'd decided to untie me, like the gracious god he was. Despite the sharp and emotionless appearance of the furniture and decor, it actually wasn't bad. It was slightly better than the dorms at BigHit, which was terribly surprising, and a little disappointing.

"What, you don't say it back?" He raised an eyebrow. "After all I've done for you?"

"...What?" I craned my neck in disbelief. What exactly had he done for me? He acted as if he was a blessing, but all he'd done was ruin my life. The fans were probably freaking out, the boys were probably worried sick, and my family was probably in pieces. Not that I would know--I had no connection to the Internet or the outside world.

"I gave you a bed, a nice basement to live in, and food," V listed, counting off his fingers. "You should be eternally grateful."

"And you took me away from the life I worked so hard to live and everything I love," I added quietly, still afraid to anger him. I knew he was dangerous, but at the same time, his delusions bothered me. Well, no, everything about him bothered me. The fact that he was a kidnapper bothered me. The fact that he was a cute kidnapper bothered me. The fact that he could get me to admit that he was a cute kidnapper infuriated me.

V only sighed and slid out a dagger from behind his back. I widened my eyes and stepped backwards, and my body started to tremble involuntarily. I'd really gone and fucked it up now, hadn't I?

"Wh-What are you doing?" I whimpered, grabbing the bedpost behind me for support. "I didn't mean that, y-you know."

He chuckled humorlessly. "I'm not going to hurt you if you do this right," he replied, twirling the blade between his fingers with a devious demeanor, the lustrous metal weaving between his slender fingers with ease and grace. "This is only the first experiment."

"You're going... You're going to kill me for your first experiment?" I asked incredulously, my breath catching in my throat. "I'm... I'm only fifteen, please!"

V laughed, amused by my frantic, panicked fear. "Oh, that's cute," he cooed, his eyes glinting in the harsh lighting. "I'm seventeen, so what? It's only the first experiment, Kookie. I would prefer for you to live, but who knows how worthy you are."

"There's a chance that I could live?" I felt my pulse slow a little. My fears of possible death had been confirmed, but there was a chance to live. Somehow, that calmed me, which kind of freaked me out. Had things really gotten that dire?

"Yes..." He drew out the word, eyes scanning the room with slight unease. His tone made my heart flutter with anxiety. My limbs seemed to turn to ice, and I couldn't feel anymore because I was so scared.

"Why are you saying it like that?" I whimpered, starting to panic again. Cold fright seeped into my veins, the raw emotion staining every inch of my body. Was he taking away my chance at life now? "How many people have survived this?"

Pause.

"Alright, stand on this," V commanded, dropping the knife and pulling a chair to the middle of the room, where the ceiling was the highest, the chair legs screeching against the floor. My heart leapt into my throat, and I couldn't help but wonder why he avoided the question. He crossed his arms, waiting, and I gulped before doing what he told me.
